Today we’d like to introduce you to Q Ogletree

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started this brand out of curiosity and honestly necessity. It was never something I was always into, I never thought about starting a clothing brand but looking back I always wondered why I had more clothes than shoes as a kid. I guess it was always in me in a sense. This brand started with a 5 minute design on customink.com that I showed my dad and we ran with. We made 10 shirts and when we got them back we sold them all, honestly the rest is history. It started popping after that.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. It’s been times I didn’t sell a thing for months & i mean MONTHS. Me trying everything I could in the book to get things rolling. I didn’t have enough money at the time to create business cards so I cut blank printer paper into squares and would write my info on there. I stayed by a college so I would skate up there and put it on peoples windows and did I ever get a sale? Nope haha. Its never been a time I thought about giving up but I would question if I was enough for this, did I have enough creativity was a big one for me. Seeing people with these super cool designs and I have something so basic in a sense.

But what brings me clarity is realizing my brand isn’t a show off type of brand. I don’t need the craziest designs. This isn’t illustration for me. I am simply passing on a message and as long as people resonate with it I’ll always have a place in this game. I will never be left behind.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in I believe inspiration, the person you look at and say “he actually did this” to a lot of my peers. I make moves and I’m super quiet about it. My friends tell me all the time they’re proud of me and my family. I’m doing a lot of things they’ve never done but I don’t rub it in their face. I’m so proud of my friends and family. Them giving me space to be me allows me to a lot of the amazing stuff I’ve done, without them I wouldn’t do half of what I’ve done or even had the courage to do so.

I’m just a kid from a small town called Barnesville, Georgia. A kid who wanted to make his parents proud, stay out of trouble, keep my face card clean, & always be respectful. I was raised well. I was taught what’s wrong and what’s right and I did my best to stay out of the mix and stay in my lane.

I’m most proud of my parents. I won’t get into detail but just the stuff we’ve been through would make anybody fold. I mean anybody. There’s been a lot of moments where it’s like “wtf is going on?” You start to ask yourself “why did this happen to me? My family” through it all we’ve stuck together & I’m so happy about that. I can talk to them about anything and they accept me for who I am. I know they’re going to read this so take this part in. WE ARE GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND SO RICH SO SOON, I GOT US.

This is such a long answer haha but what sets me apart is what I’ve been through. Nothing phases me anymore. Anything that’s in my face I tackle it and not shy away from it. I was raised that way. My spirit is so strong and I’ll never be a coward. Never let em see you sweat.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
This life means a lot to me. I don’t think people really grasp we literally only have one life. All these moments are temporary. You never fathom stuff like that until death literally hits you in the face and there’s never a right time for that. Plenty of situations where I’m like “this is really all we get huh?” Yeah you might think life is super long if you get to live till you’re like 90 but those 90 years can FLYYYYY. A lot of people are dead already inside, they’re just waiting to be buried. Just don’t give up on yourself no matter what age you are, you can always better yourself.
