Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Trujillo

Hi Rebecca , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I havr always had a passion for decorating at birthday parties and baby showers. I was always over the top when it came to my displays. My first balloon arch was at a call center I used to help manage. We were launchung a new project for a client and just loved working with halloons ever since. During the pandemic I decided to start a tshirt printing business. I did that for about 2 years. I couldn’t see myself doing that for the rest of my life. The event planning and decorating industry was rapidly growing, so I decided to switch gears and change to event decor. Ai couldn’t be more fullfilled as a business owner than I am now.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been a tough road. Booking consistently has been a struggle of mine due to lack of proper marketing. I come from what is considered a low income neighborhood with very limited resources. I had to come out of pocket for startup costs, cost of materials and equipment. I unfortunately did not qualify for any business loans. No one knew I existed and knew I that had to change. I continued working a full time job to save and invest back into my business. The first 2 years of being in business I lost more than I was profitable. So many times I felt like giving up but the passion I have for my craft kept me going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love to craft and would always hear from others that I have a true calling for what I do. I guess you can say I am known for going above and beyond client expectations. I offer to assist with other things when my setups are done. I love people and always do my best to help in all aspects. I am most proud of my balloon installations and how far I have come as a balloon artist. What sets me apart from others is attention to details and truly creating unforgettable moments.

I am a little old school so not really huge on podcasts. or blogs. I am a believer in Christ Jesus and He is my strength to keep going. He has blessed me with so many blessings so I give Him all the Glory and thanks.
