Conversations with Samme Sylvis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samme Sylvis.

Hi Samme, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I found my path to spirituality about six years ago after a few big life changes. I began exploring and diving into healing on a deeper, more spiritual level. Eventually I was led to completing a Reiki training with my sister, and found that healing and helping others blended together perfectly with Reiki.
Several months later, after being unexpectedly laid off of my corporate job of nearly 18 years – I knew it was time to jump in and follow my heart. I completed training for Holy Fire Reiki Master, CranioSacral 1, and Pleiadian Lightwork and have been practicing and growing since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been pretty smooth sailing inwardly. I know that the work I am doing has a big purpose and that the world needs the love and light and release that this work brings. Outwardly, it’s been a bit of a struggle. There are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation around Reiki, and a lack of awareness around Pleiadin Lightwork and CranioSacral work.
My goal is to bring awareness and awakening around how beautifully this work can fit into any belief system, and the difference it can make in the lives of everyone who experiences it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work in the healing arts space. I am an Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master who is certified in CranioSacral 1 and trained in Pleiadian Lightwork. I excel in creating a safe, comfortable space where I can help my clients relax, begin healing, and release tensions and experiences from every day life. Each session is intuitively guided and customized.
I am most proud of the positive energy and authenticity that I show up with every day.
I believe that what sets me apart from others are my specific offerings and customized sessions. A few examples would be my Cranio-Reiki sessions, or the specific group Reiki sessions that I offer. I care greatly about helping others and am so grateful that I get to do so in such a beautiful way.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think it’s important to take risks in life to progress. It’s not likely that things will just fall into your lap, I took a big risk when I was laid off, not immediately finding a replacement full time job. I knew that this was the year I needed to utilize for the expansion that would be required to run the business I would like to open with my sister for the healing and energy work I do. I have taken several courses and workshops this year that have helped my growth and intuition immensely and I couldn’t imagine not having done so. I am in a beautiful place of knowing I am where I am supposed to be, and taking those courses has given me that wisdom and confidence.
