Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Longman.
Hi Steve, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’m a retired Chiropractor who wanted to transition into something fun and creative.
I now own ice cream parlors in the metro area. Inside Scoop Creamery is in downtown Littleton and Rosie’s Ice Cream is in the Berkeley neighborhood in NW Denver.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Covid was a tough time for many businesses. Ours included.
We were lucky enough to be allowed to serve take-out ice cream. I can’t imagine the pain many businesses suffered because they had to close entirely.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Making your ice allows you to be creative. It’s a lot of fun to come up with a flavor that’s a big hit. It’s also been very rewarding mentoring my young high school employees.
Most of them were hired without any work experience and serving ice cream is their first job. It’s fun to see them mature into dependable working employees.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Honesty, integrity, persistence, and the ability to think outside the box.
