Today we’d like to introduce you to Willy Tillz.
Hi Willy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was little, I wanted a simple life, an easy job and a pretty wife. Sophomore year of high school, I realized that I have a purpose and that it would be a shame to live a simple life when I am capable of much more. I began making music every day and through this process I was able to learn so much about myself, others, and the ways of life. Fast-forward 6 years to summer of 2021. This is when Bringing The World To You Bloomed! As a musician, I was always waiting for someone to step up and push all the amazing people and things in Colorado to the next level through parties, events, videos, and any other way to bring people together and create community. In June, I decided to take that role. I made a website, YouTube, and bought a camera. Ever since then, I have been on a mission to uplift anybody and everybody around me, while creating spaces and events for the people of Denver to come together, build community, and show the world our skills, our culture, our styles, and ways of life!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No… that comes with choosing a lifeless simple. I was an intense kid who struggled with OCD to the point where I barely interacted with my family at all. In high school, I was very popular but denounced their immaturity. For this, they tried to jump me, and my closest friends would no longer answer my calls. I have been Rocking by myself since then. Well, except 80 has always been there! He’s Bringing The World To You fasho. Multiple head injuries. Had to spend two months in bed! It’s strange being me because I go against the grain and it causes so much pain, but I follow the truth, and in the end that trumps everything!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make music, I play piano, guitar and I sing and rap. I have music on Spotify and apple! I am proud that my music is authentic, sometimes it can make me feel vulnerable or I worry about how people will perceive me but I have gotten so many compliments because my music is honest and true. It makes me proud the people can resonate with my thoughts.
Bringing The World To You is all about community but we also have merch. I have designed hoodies, tee shirts, and other accessories that we sell. I also create vlogs for all the events we do!
I think my fearlessness to be me and myself love are things that set me apart.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a very intense child, if I didn’t like what you were doing, I would either hit you or bite you. I had these thick red wool socks and rain boots that I wore one summer as a young child and I grew mold on my feet! I got a radio when I was 6 and spent all my time thrashing about my room to rap and heavy metal. I would freak out if my shoes weren’t tied tight enough and one time when I was4 or 5 I punched a hole in a window because my strawberry milk didn’t have the right consistency. I always loved music. I took guitar lessons every Saturday and then me and my dad would go check out the record store. I always had one or two close friends and I was always trouble in the classroom
