Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Harsche.
Amanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am originally from North Dakota. I grew up on a cattle ranch and always wanted to be in the beauty industry. I checked out beauty schools when I was 17,19,25 and finally went when I was 28. It was the scariest and best decision I have ever made.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely was not a smooth road. Halfway through beauty school my then-boyfriend now fiancé had to move out of state for work. I had to finish at the school I started so the second I graduated I moved to a town where I knew no one and started a brand-new career.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a full-time stylist behind the chair and educator for a color company called Pulp Riot. I specialize in fashion colors and blonding. I am most proud of my journey. There were many times I wanted to give up and didn’t. I get the amazing opportunity to meet stylists from all over the world and create art with them.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future are to continue growing in my career and helping other hairstylists achieve their goals. I am getting married this year so I’m definitely looking forward to that!
