Daily Inspiration: Meet Anthony J. Clark

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony J. Clark.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started on the path to create The 16,000 Studio® in 2018. Between the constant encouragement from a friend, J.C. Buck, who noticed my photography style with my iPhone and my distinct interests in architecture and aviation, I decided to take a further step and create my own platform to showcase my work. However, I knew I needed to put on my student hat, research, and learn what I wanted and how to achieve it. Since then, I’ve created my own website, brand identity, story, and now a trademarked the name, which has been such a great feeling.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If there’s anything we want to achieve in life, unless there’s some unknown backroad, understand there is no smooth road. From my earlier days, sitting in a coffee shop in Boulder, typing countless pages of what I wanted to do, scrolling through countless website templates, purchasing a domain, literally everything it takes to create a platform, those learning curves required a lot of my attention. I’d say the most challenging part by far was when I started to trademark my business name – The 16,000 Studio®. Albeit the process is now complete, that year-long process ushered me into a new lane to educate myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner and a multidisciplinary artist at The 16,000 Studio®, where I focus my work on architecture, art, aviation, design, and lifestyle photography through a minimalist approach. Regarding my business and work, I can say I’m known for staying consistent with my style and how I capture photos. It’s great to take photos, but it’s important to know my lane/style, understand my craft and continue to showcase what I enjoy. When that’s understood, I think that is what makes a person stand out.

How do you think about happiness?
There are so many things that make me happy. What makes me happy right now is grad school. Through the highs and lows, the journey toward completing my MBA program has been so cool and rewarding. Outside of my business, I work in the aviation industry, so understanding the path I am and where it’s headed feels so great.
