Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben Saheb.
Ben , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started when I was seven years old and “Santa” left a camera under the tree. That gift sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling through visuals.
I directed TV news in high school, launched my own video production company in college, and quickly stepped into the world of professional media with Steamboat TV. Along the way, I began capturing weddings and took on the role of lead filmmaker and photographer for Steamboat Powdercats blending my love of the outdoors with my creative work.
I was also the lead filmmaker for Rig to Flip an organization that creates documentaries about water issues in the west.
Today, I run a full-service video production business specializing in adventure, travel, weddings, corporate, and broadcast content. I’ve intentionally embraced a wide range of projects because each one sharpens a different skillset. That diversity is what makes me a strong reliable filmmaker.
I am adaptable, creative, and able to tell powerful stories across any medium. My work has taken me across five continents, always with the goal of telling authentic, compelling stories through a cinematic lens.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road and I wouldn’t want it to be. Working across so many mediums such as weddings, adventure, travel, corporate, and broadcast, these different disciplines comes with a steep learning curve in each category.
Every type of project brings its own set of challenges, whether it’s unpredictable weather in the mountains, the fast pace of a live event, the needed tenderness of an intense documentary story or the high expectations and fast turnarounds of a corporate shoot.
But that diversity is also what’s shaped me. I’ve had to solve problems on the fly, adapt quickly, and learn from mistakes often the hardest of ways. Over the past 15 years, those experiences have been my greatest teachers. They’ve given me the confidence to stay calm under pressure, the creativity to find solutions, and the reliability clients need when trusting someone with their vision.
The road Ive navigated had bumps, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s the reason I’m able to do what I do today. with skill, perspective, and purpose.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What I’m most known for is my ability to adapt across mediums while maintaining a strong visual identity. Whether I’m filming cyclists across the salt flats of Bolivia or the climbs of France, producing livestreams for corporate clients, or capturing emotional, intimate moments at weddings, I bring the same intention: create beautiful, honest stories that connect with people.
I’m proud of the diversity of my work because it’s intentional. That breadth allows me to approach each project with a toolkit built from years of experience in different environments. fast-paced, unpredictable, and often high-stakes. It’s helped me become both creatively agile and technically reliable, which I believe is what sets me apart.
I’ve also carved out a niche working with outdoor and adventure brands where I get to combine my passion for wild places with cinematic storytelling. And at the same time, I’ve built trusted relationships with wedding clients who value a filmmaker who can strike the balance between artistic vision and emotional authenticity.
