Daily Inspiration: Meet Bradleigh Turner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradleigh Turner.

Hi Bradleigh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Raised in the mountains of Evergreen and transplanted to the city of Denver, you can say I am an all-around Colorado girl. I’ve been fortunate to have gotten the full experience growing up with the outdoor lifestyle, to now being a young adult taking advantage of the Colorado cannabis industry. Our state has such a strong cannabis culture, I’ve been very grateful to be a part of it and watch it flourish as I’ve grown up. I’ve been an avid cannabis activist and user for over 10 years but finally entered the professional space in 2019 at a large wholesale facility. My favorite thing to do in the grow is plant maintenance and harvesting. Aside from growing and consuming the plant, I love talking about it! Podcasts are my favorite way to connect to the community and spread the word. I think it is important to shift the misconceptions of marijuana and bring people together through good vibes and educated conversations. I’ve been expanding my network and resume through working with the THCgirls and creating connections along the way. Growing with a team of like-minded people is so valuable and we’ve already accomplished so much since I joined over a year ago. As of now, I am taking on many different tasks and getting ready for Denver’s 420 week, and staying busy with future projects

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth yet exciting ride in the industry for me these past couple years. I was very fortunate in getting hired at a really great grow facility who helped me learn and progress throughout my duration there. The difficult part was making the decision to leave my “grow family” and take the more independent route. I really wanted to focus on the industry’s entirety instead of solely spending all my time growing. Although I miss the hard labor and fruitful horticulture life, I knew there was a need for outgoing advocates like myself to represent the cannabis community through things like public speaking and brand promotions. Utilizing remote jobs and traveling to new states has been my favorite part of this journey. I love meeting new people and experiencing new avenues within their industry and combining our networks. It’s been fascinating learning about neighboring states and how their laws affect their cannabis lifestyles differently than in my home state

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have many skills in and out of the weed garden, but I would say my main specialty is in defanning and pruning plants. I have a knack for caring for marijuana plants and can help teach others how to be better growers! I have been modeling and doing brand ambassador work for years. I’ve always enjoyed doing fashion shows or appearing in music videos- it’s a fun way for me to support brands and artists and it gets me great exposure as well! I offer assistance in social media management and content creations for companies looking to build their outreach or exposure. I’m always open to trade for trade work and collaborative projects. I stay active in my community by hosting and cohosting podcast shows and helping organize events and gatherings. I am an independent contractor so I keep my network open to thrive and I continue to expand my resume by accepting jobs I relate to and enjoy!

What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future would be to continue traveling and broadening my horizons. I have met so many people just in the past two years working in the cannabis industry, so it is exciting to experience it in new states with new people. I am looking forward to working more in media and doing more podcasts. I have so much to learn about that realm of the industry and look forward to diving deeper. There are so many upcoming events and social gatherings coming this Spring and Summer and I’m just happy to be a part of it all in any way I can! I have been navigating my personal interests and finding ways to connect it to the professional world; finding ways to make money doing what I love. It’s been tricky but the end goal is to be able to work remote and enjoy the industry all over the world!
