Daily Inspiration: Meet Cameron Carter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Carter.

Hi Cameron, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Cameron Carter’s journey is rooted commitment to addressing disparities in healthcare for underserved communities. Early in his career, he conducted academic research on the physiological effects of healthcare inequity while teaching physiology at major U.S. universities. He later spent over a decade building and scaling value-based care solutions at companies like DaVita, Bright Health, Evolent Health, and Truven Health Analytics—leading initiatives that launched the nation’s first transportation benefit for Affordable Care Act plan members and managing a national telemedicine platforms during the COVID19 pandemic.

In 2023, Cameron co-founded Rosarium Health, a platform that helps older adults and individuals with disabilities remain in their homes by coordinating inclusive home modifications and in-home safety assessments. Inspired by his own family’s health challenges, Cameron built Rosarium to transform inaccessible housing into environments that support independence, dignity, and better health outcomes.

Cameron’s work is driven by a belief that every person—regardless of income, language, or mobility—deserves to live safely at home. Today, Rosarium operates nationally, serving health plans, hospitals, and community-based organizations with a human-first approach to healthcare at home.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many founders, I’ve wrestled with imposter syndrome—especially early on when stepping into rooms with people who didn’t look like me or share my lived experience. There were times I questioned if I belonged or if I was “qualified enough” to build something this ambitious. But those doubts were also a signal: I wasn’t just chasing a career—I was trying to align my work with my purpose. Finding that alignment took time and reflection. I had to unlearn the idea that success meant climbing someone else’s ladder, and instead focus on building something rooted in equity and care. That shift gave me the confidence to move forward with Rosarium, even when the path wasn’t clear.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a healthcare services disruptor focused on closing care gaps for underserved communities. Over the past decade, I’ve solved complex operational challenges across Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and employer health plans—from launching the first medically tailored meals benefit for Affordable Care Act plan members to delivering software for Accountable Care Organizations.

Today, I lead Rosarium Health, a platform that makes homes safer through inclusive renovations and in-home assessments. We serve not just older adults, but also children with disabilities, in-home infusion patients, and those recovering from orthopedic surgery. Our work enables people to remain safely at home—on their terms.

Rosarium has been nationally recognized, selected by the Texas Medical Center Innovation program and the National Institute on Aging accelerator. What sets us apart is how we bridge healthcare, housing, and humanity. We’re not just a tech platform—we’re enabling independence and creating a movement for equitable, dignified care at home.
