Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Constanzo.
Hi Cassie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been passionate about photography since high school and previously owned a photo booth rental company, MSPB Co, for over 5 years. However, my journey as an Interior Photographer in Denver truly began when I joined a Home Staging company 2 years ago. There, I worked as the in-house photographer, capturing their stages and creating content for their social media and website. This role allowed me to dive deep into the world of interior design and interior photography, and I quickly discovered my love for documenting beautiful spaces. Today, I specialize in professionally photographing hotels and custom home builds ranging from $1-5 million, collaborating with custom home builders and interior designers to showcase their incredible work.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to becoming an Interior Photographer in Denver has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Each challenge, however, has been a stepping stone to greater achievements. A significant turning point occurred when my photo booth rental company, which I had nurtured and grown for years, lost the next two years’ worth of revenue in a single day due to COVID. With the event industry at a standstill, I had to quickly pivot and find a new income source. After letting my camera gear gather dust for over a decade, I dove back into photography to make ends meet. This transition not only helped me rediscover my passion for photography but also led me to find my niche as an interior photographer in Denver.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As an Interior Photographer in Colorado, I specialize in capturing the beauty of unique spaces crafted by luxury custom home builders and interior designers. My passion is to work with lighting to create stunning, captivating scenes that evoke emotion and are worthy of publication. Whether it’s a new build or an expansive kitchen remodel, my goal is to showcase these spaces in their best light. In addition to my interior photography, I’ve had the pleasure of working with big names like Puma and Spurs in my commercial photography career.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
One valuable lesson I learned looking back at my experience during the COVID-19 crisis is that failure is simply success in progress. During my lowest point, I felt like a failure as my business, which I had built and grown over 5 years, collapsed within 24 hours. However, this setback led me to take a corporate job, which ultimately opened the door to my passion for interior photography. Although adapting to a 9-5 desk job was challenging, this experience guided me to find my true calling. It was there that my manager’s frequent harsh comments fueled my determination to prove them wrong and accelerated my growth in the field of interior photography.
