Daily Inspiration: Meet Cynthia James

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia James.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My life has transformed as I transcended a childhood of violence and PTSD. I am personally committed to utilizing creative expression as a vital and effective healing modality. My messages, music and meditation products have supported individuals and groups around the world. I have appeared in the movies, Sacred Journey of the Heart and Leap! I have also facilitated hundreds of workshops, seminars and keynotes; including Celebrate Your Life, Omega Institute, Woman Arising, the Gift in Shift, Colorado Behavior Healthcare Council, Women’s Success Forum, the Children’s Hospital and many others. I also co-hosted a radio talk show, a television talk show in Los Angeles and am a sought-after radio guest.

I have been a successful actress and International singer. I have completed two Master’s Degree programs; one in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute where I was awarded the honor of distinguished alumni, and the other in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica.

My work combines the creative arts with innovative therapeutic techniques to bring powerful personal growth and expansion to individuals of all ages, cultures, and lifestyles, including facilitating the message of her bestselling and award-winning books, “What Will Set You Free”, Revealing Your Extraordinary Essence” and “I Choose Me: The Art of Being A Phenomenally Successful Woman at Home and at Work.” My newest book: “Does My Voice Matter? A Journey of Self-discovery, authenticity and empowerment launched in September 2022.

Internationally, I have led workshops in England and Ireland and have created and facilitated pilgrimages to Peru, Chartres, France, meditations in the Temples of Humankind in Damanhur, Italy and Mary Magdalene experiences in the south of France and Egypt temple Experience. I have presented and been the co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Conference in Uganda, Africa for five years…

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. My life has had many valleys and peaks. Some of the challenges included abuse as a child, being on welfare. Relationships have been a struggle until 27 years ago.

It was hard to anchor my self-confidence and trust my inner knowing. Learning to trust myself and my intuition was a long and powerful journey.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have always been an artist and a creative. For many years I thought that had to be separate from the coaching work I did in the world. Today, I understand that my artistry inspires people. It touches them on multiple levels. Music, movement, songs, and poetry are great assets and complements for my coaching and counseling work.

I have recorded many vocal albums and meditation CDs. People find them useful to continue the work that began in our emotional integration coaching sessions.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Supporting people to awaken brings me great joy. To witness people remembering how powerful and glorious they are lets me know that I am on purpose in my life. I truly believe that the more people can fully stand in their authenticity the freer they become. That not only supports them individually, it lifts humanity.
