Daily Inspiration: Meet Darius Bridges

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darius Bridges.

Darius, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The life and emcee journey of Darius Bridges, LLAMADAGOAT, started in his teenage years finding himself and inspiration through rappers such as Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000. Now he has been making his own music for the past decade and hopes to inspire others through their walks of life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all a smooth road being that I served in the United States military, Navy, where time was restricted the obstacles I faced were at times unbearable. From missing countless opportunities to perform for globally known artists to even the smallest of technical difficulties when trying to start a home studio. Nothing about this road has been smooth but it has been life changing through the multitude of lessons learned.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
For the past two years I’ve been a Sterile Processing Technician in Colorado Springs but as of recently I’ve been blessed to be a Direct Care Provider and that alone has been even more rewarding, being able to give back to the community even more then I already try to do. What sets me apart is my genuine character and unwavering discipline in establishing myself not only as a hardworker but a reliable one as well.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice to anybody would be get out of your comfort zone and just start somewhere. Nothing is ever easy the first time so figure out avenues and establish a pattern that fits the routine for the lifestyle you want. Find local events that cater to the passion you foresee yourself in and take the initiative of putting yourself out there. Whether that is through your own content or networking with others to help build each other’s perspective business or dream. That’s worked for me and I haven’t looked back since.
