Daily Inspiration: Meet David Gborie

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Gborie

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m from Colorado but I started doing standup in California about 15 years ago. During Pandemic I moved back and have continued to work out of CO ever since. I’m on a couple of of cartoons and I have a comedy special all recorded here in Denver

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think the hardest part of moving back has been finding new jobs while not living in the industry hubs

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I host a podcast about black conspiracy theories called My Momma Told Me on Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network. I also co-host another podcast called All Fantasy Everything on the Headgum Network. I am the voice of Comedy Central, both the television channel and the Sirius XM Channels. I’m on the netflix show Exploding Kittens and the Adult Swim show Royal Crackers now in it’s second season. I also self produced my own comedy special Gbirth of a Nation that I filmed at Dude idk studio in Denver. I’ver written for the ESPY awards and the Eric Andre show. I’m the most proud of the special because it was produced locally. My height sets me apart from others

What were you like growing up?
I was a weird kid who drank a lot of water and watched a lot of tv

Pricing:

  • My special is available on patreon.com/david gborie for $12
