Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayzha W.
Hi Dayzha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Houston, I spent my formative years moving through cities across the South. My journey to dance wasn’t linear. Before fully committing, I worked as a travel nurse, a role that instilled discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose. These qualities now drive my career as a signed professional dancer and global instructor.
Nearly two years ago, I made the deliberate leap to pursue dance professionally, developing a signature movement style that’s bold, sensual, and commanding. I don’t just teach choreography, I cultivate confidence, presence, and power, helping dancers own their space on stages nationwide and soon, internationally.
Currently, I’m leading my Sweet Heat Tour™, an independently-produced pop-up heels training experience sweeping the South. With international bookings on the horizon, I’m building a story that’s as much about fierce authenticity as it is about unapologetic ambition and growth.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is staying committed to my vision in an industry that’s quick to reward what’s familiar. I’ve always had a unique energy, bold, dynamic, not always easy to box in and that can be intimidating in certain spaces. Especially early on, people didn’t always know where I fit. But instead of shrinking, I leaned in.
There were times I had to fund my own travel, plan my own classes, and prove my value in rooms that hadn’t seen my kind of excellence before. But I made it work. Every time I got knocked off balance, I came back sharper and more intentional. I didn’t need to be chosen, I chose myself.
I’ve learned that the strongest thing you can do as an artist is bet on your own ability to deliver. And that’s exactly what I’ve done.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional dancer, choreographer, and instructor, and my work spans from the studio to the stadium. I’ve performed on some of the biggest stages in the country, including the Super Bowl. I own and run a dance class brand, Arch Angelz, and am dedicated to continuously growing it as an independent and global brand.
This summer, I’m also leading my independently-produced Sweet Heat Tour™, a pop-up heels training experience across the Southern U.S. It’s intimate, powerful, and rooted in confidence. I created this tour for movers &dancers who are ready to stop playing small and start taking up space, with elegance, edge, and precision.
My choreography blends sensuality with technical control. Whether I’m performing or teaching, I move with purpose, and I expect the same from my students. I’m currently expanding into international teaching, with upcoming collaborations in the UK, Australia, and Asia. But teaching is just one branch of what I do.
Beyond movement, I’m unveiling my wine label, an extension of my refined taste and entrepreneurial vision, where culture, luxury, and bold ambition pour into every bottle.
As a dancer, I’m in the process of aligning with artists, tours, and stages that reflect my caliber. Everything I’ve built has prepared me for this moment, where performance, visual direction, and training all converge. The movement speaks for itself. And the stages are only getting bigger.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors in spirit, women whose artistry and leadership I deeply admire, even without direct access. Yet, much of my growth has come through intuition, trial, and error, teaching myself how to navigate this industry and build a sustainable career.
That perspective shapes everything I do as an instructor. My classes go beyond choreography; they’re blueprints for ownership, lessons in walking boldly in your power and transforming movement into a personal brand, not just a skill.
Whether I’m working with a newcomer or nurturing a seasoned artist, I teach with the guidance I wish I’d received. That’s where the true impact lives. I want every dancer to leave my class knowing they are more than enough, that their voice matters, and that they hold the power.
