Daily Inspiration: Meet Devyn Love Jenae

Today we’d like to introduce you to Devyn Love Jenae.

Hi Devyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I would love to! And thank you so much for this opportunity- I’m really excited to have my work, and myself/ my brand get noticed! This is awesome for me I’m filled with gratitude. So for me personally my life and art are in a constant eb and flow . Intertwined into all aspects being an artist is just who I am. I hope that the love in my art and in my work inspires for years to come, however if I can motivate, help or empower just one person each day- that’s enough too.

Art is everything to me. It’s always calling me. To create. To inspire. To change the status quo. That is the driving force behind my goal to create every single day. Just make SOMETHING. I’ve been striving to do this daily for around a year now and it’s really been an incredible experience!

Another thing I’m committed to doing daily is Yoga and Meditation. Mindfulness is a part of my daily life as well. No matter how I’m feeling. Or how crazy my day is. I give my artistic voice and my innermost heart a space and a piece of my time. I let it flow. I create and I strive towards Inspiring others in many different realms; Jewelry Making (all repurposed, recycled and natural materials), Photography/Digital Art, And I am a Writer/Activist as well. I just recently decided to start a nonprofit to bring support to those experiencing homelessness and to bring more awareness to the community about this vital issue. This project and documentary series will be on my Instagram and will include many different projects and perspectives. My wish and my highest hope is to bring about more empathy, compassion, understanding and to unite humanity together in a positive and peaceful way. You may be asking yourself where I personally receive inspiration and how I became so driven to change things for the better. The answer to this lies in my family and my friends. My family brought me up to make a difference, to be myself and to never stop dreaming and reaching to leave lasting and meaningful change upon the world one day, and one person at a time. And it is the many friends from all walks of life, all over the globe that keep me positive, present and always hopeful. Thank you to all of you. I love you!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh. My. Goodness. YES!!!!!! Struggles and challenges meet me daily. I am a naturally anxious person, I also suffer from severe depression and I’ve also struggled with addiction. It is through my actions and lifestyle choices that I am healing and moving forward one day at a time.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love to create. My Instagram is filled with so many different aspects of my love for creative projects and pursuits! I value sustainability in my creations themselves and I choose to focus and combine my projects with things that I feel need attention in my community In Boulder Colorado.

Absolutely! I’m grateful to everyone who’s been there for me along the way in big ways and small! Equally every single bit of encouragement means the world. I also wanna thank my sweet little Brothers Kegan and Keaton and of course my bestie for life, my border collie Pixi. Her spunk and spirit are contagious! She has accompanied me on my journey for the last 13 years. My rock. My best friend in the universe. I love you, girl.
