Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Seth Storment.
Hi Dr. Storment, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I graduated from the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. I am dedicated to giving, loving, and serving my community with the Chiropractic adjustment and staying true to the Chiropractic principle. Being a former collegiate football player, I recognized the importance of training and skill development early on in my Chiropractic education.
On weekends, I traveled to different cities to learn from masters of the profession to further my skillset and artistry. Early on, I realized the bigness of and the power behind the Chiropractic adjustment in a way in which supports individuals in their own journey to optimal life expression. Which lead to me being here in Denver to work alongside a friend and mentor Dr. Darren Murphy. At The Source Chiropractic – Denver we believe we curate a unique Chiropractic experience, where we understand that pain is important but not the only thing that someone may be experiencing. More importantly we want to help people optimize their nervous system so they may live more life per moment.
I am excited for the opportunity to meet more of the community and share how important I believe Chiropractic is to someone living life to the fullest. I look forward to connecting with and serving the Denver community in a big way!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say that it has both been smooth and challenging. The whole process of becoming a licensed Chiropractor was a long road and all the challenges that come with undergrad and grad school. Even to the point that when I finished my undergrad with a degree in Biology, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go to school for another three and a half years.
So, when I finished I went back home for a year to see if I could find anything other paths that seemed to fit better. That whole year I felt as though I was just spinning my wheels. I knew all along being a Chiropractor was my purpose and I’m so grateful I followed that and saw it through. It has so far been the most rewarding thing I have ever done!
I also say it was smooth because I was following my heart and purpose. In my experience, when we are in alignment with that, things just seem to always fall into place.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Chiropractic was developed on three pillars; science, philosophy, and art. Yeah, throughout school we learned all about the science of how the body does what it does. We studied philosophy on which Chiropractic was built. But the art is where all the excitement comes in. Art is the application of philosophy and science.
It is the expression of the individual Chiropractor and how they choose to serve the person on the table in front of them. The art of Chiropractic is where I found what resonated the best with me and how I chose which path in Chiropractic to take. This is what I love most about what I do. How I express my art in Chiropractic is what sets me apart from others in this amazing field. It is what makes our office different. As I stated before it’s a difference in intention. The intention to “fix” someone or the intention to bring more peace and ease to one’s system to allow for more life expression and quality of Life. This is my art. What I’m most excited about is continuing to change how people see their world.
When someone tells me “this changed everything,” that’s exciting. To know that my facilitation has helped someone have a new perspective and outlook on their life because they have a clear nervous system, free of any interference. Knowing the ripple effect that has on the community, excites me.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe the future of Chiropractic in the next 5-10 years is extremely bright. People more so now than ever are questioning the way we’ve been doing things in the recent past. More people are looking for natural strategies for health that are more inside-out thinking instead of outside-in.
With this, I have found that more and more people are looking for great Chiropractors to not only help with aches and pains but for ways to optimize their lives so they can perform better and continue to show up in their lives with full expression.
So the trend to more natural health strategies is only helping Chiropractic grow and be able to show up for more people.
