Today we’d like to introduce you to Freddy Almeida

Freddy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a decorative artist specialized in architectural wall painting and my story begins more than 15 years ago in my native country Colombia, where I carried out projects for clients who sought to give a sophisticated and luxurious image to their homes, offices or businesses and today thank God I am in this great country and I want to put my talent and my experience at your disposal to continue building my history and my future.
We have started developing commercial strategies, through social networks and website and we have already made important commercial alliances and in the next few days we will do technical tests for a very important interior design company in the city and if everything goes well as we expect, we will start doing projects together and we will be in their presentation brochure.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been easy, but it has been a satisfactory path, challenges are found daily in every step and in every project that we start. Looking back I see that the beginning was difficult because although I had the knowledge, the market was saturated with young people with a lot of talent who offered a very good service and the clients had a wide range of decorating artists to choose from and now, as at that time, the challenges appear because it is a beginning again, in another country, in another culture and with another language, they seem like gigantic challenges, Challenges that crush us paralyze and stop us, but the desire to continue fighting, to long for a better future and to do what we are passionate about can overcome any obstacle and we can overcome any challenge and that is what I am experiencing today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a decorative artist specializing in wall painting using avant-garde techniques. My specialty is working with Venetian plaster, which is a derivative of marble, as well as other decorative techniques such as stone walls and lime wash. In my professional career I have always sought to be recognized for my versatility and for having a wide range of services and I am always constantly updating to be at the forefront and be able to offer the most current trends.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Not giving up is something that this path has taught me, although it is not one of my strengths because in the past I have suffered a lot because of it, because the difficulty, the problem arose and almost without resisting I abandoned the project, I have had I have to fight a lot in that sense and today I feel that I am fighting with more persistence
