Daily Inspiration: Meet Gabriel Flathers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Flathers.

Gabriel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started when my father showed off his life as a photographer. It intrigued me and so I took on the passion, did the hard things, and worked to unlock my creative side.

Nature is such a beautiful thing and we often take it for granted. I want to showcase the wonders and beauty through our everyday lives, to give people a reason to stop… look… and appreciate all that is around us. So I created “A New Point Of View.” A place where you can see everything and anything in new ways. To discover the magnificence of what our vision can do. I want to be able to share with everyone how remarkable the world can be.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Trying to find destinations, money for equipment, mitigating/choosing what photo looks best, and guessing if this place/time was the right time for the photo. Those (and along with lots of others) were my challenges, trying to put out good quality content, and giving people something they’ve never seen was tough.

Throughout my journey, my social following was growing, and it all was going well until… someone hacked my social accounts and I lost everything. I felt like giving up but realized that it was a new beginning to something great again.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer. I’m proud to show off the beautiful nature and colors all around us. How I see the world and what it creates is set apart from most, and I’ve been sharing that view with others.

What matters most to you?
Family. People online or friends can’t encourage and help you the same as family.
