Daily Inspiration: Meet Hillary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hillary

Hi Hillary, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background is in Apparel Design, and after working in Corporate Material Design for 7 years and living in Amsterdam as a designer for a year and a half I made the decision to depart Corporate America and work for myself. My Design and Planning business, Kayloe Bridal, was born out of a need for a creative outlet when I started having kids, and it has gradually grown as my children have and since turned into a thriving business. I have found my niche in the industry of Wedding Planning specializing in small, highly-designed weddings for modern, fashion-forward couples.

After successfully planning and producing over 100 weddings, I’ve started branching out into other areas of my business through education for couples and other Planners starting their own businesses. I love sharing my knowledge and expanding my network to try to help other elevate and streamline the planning process for themselves and across the industry as a whole. Hillary wrote and introduced a new way of planning for couples to the world through her Modern Wedding Planning course.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Finding my groove balancing parenting life and work life has been continually challenging, but I have learned to be creative, scrappy, and above all: flexible. The seasons of life are always changing as are my busy and slow seasons, so I’ve made the bumps feel smoother by assessing what each season needs when I am in it and adjusting to that season knowing it may not be that way forever.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I help clients and design + plan their modern weddings. I specialize in small, highly designed weddings and my clients are drawn to my work because they want a celebration that doesn’t feel cookie-cutter “wedding” and is infused with their personality. My design style is minimal, modern, with intentional and surprising pops and the thing that sets me apart from others is the middle ground I can find of design freshness and practicality. I like things to make sense AND look beautiful, and I never get tired of bringing that skill to the table to help my clients cook up their dream experiences.
