Daily Inspiration: Meet Justin Henson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Henson.

Hi Justin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Roast opened in Jan of 2024. We are a small neighborhood coffee shop that has steadily been increasing our customer base. We pride our selves on serving locally roasted coffee from Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters and we provide food options from local bakery Rebel Bread, Bosco Bakery and Dis Burritos

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being the neighborhood coffee shop it has taken a little while for the word to get out but we have really great customers that come in to support us on a regular bases. We recently added evening services with beer, wine and a small dinner menu and look forward to having our customers come in to try our new dinner menu

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m originally from Hawaii and moved to Denver in 2021. Ive owned several business over the years. Several bars and a Valet Business that i sold in 2024

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Hard to say. Coffee in Denver has a big following and there are so many great local roasters. The hardest thing is cost uncertainty. We are see cost of supplies going up and the cost of coffee fluctuates
