Daily Inspiration: Meet Karla Rosas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karla Rosas

Hi Karla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I come from an immigrant background.
My mother arrived in Colorado when I was just five years old. Raising three children while navigating a new language was an immense challenge, yet she never wavered in her dedication to providing for us. Thirty years ago, she took a bold step to start her own cleaning business, motivated by the desire to create a better life for us and to establish something she could truly call her own in the United States.
For the past 30 years, my mother poured her heart and soul into cleaning homes during the day and working on her business at night. Regrettably, her company did not flourish due to her limited knowledge of business operations, marketing, and the language barrier. Now that I’m older, I am determined to honor her legacy by creating a cleaning business that can succeed. I want her to witness the fruit of her labor, even if it comes through my efforts.
I have decided to launch Magic Maids and aim for its growth. This marks the beginning of our journey; while we currently have a few small contracts, I am confident that this will evolve into the successful enterprise we have always envisioned.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think it has been smoother for me than for many just because I thankfully had the contacts and the knowledge coming from my mother. But that doesn’t take away from the hard work I’ve put in and ultimately that comes with some struggles here and there.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am currently fully employed as a “creative director” at a hair salon. I love what I do! Marketing helps me work on my creative side. I love being a business owner but I also love helping someone else fulfill that goal as they grow their own brand. I’m proud of the work I’ve done these last two years as a creative director because it’s help me grow into who I am now, and has pushed me to open my own business.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I think social media is such a huge part. In any business now a day. I love when people support you on instagram, share your work, comment, like. Anything helps! Our page is @magic_maids.llc
