Daily Inspiration: Meet Kate Norris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Norris

Hi Kate, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a proud mom of 4 who started my career in the hospitality industry, transitioned into healthcare, and then found my way into law. Now, I’m a full-time consultant and freelance photographer, passionate about making people feel as authentic and comfortable in their own skin as possible. I focus on branding and portraits to help local small businesses thrive and showcase their true potential.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Photography is one of the calmest parts of my life (refer to: mom of 4). I really enjoy connecting with other small business owners, families, couples, soon-to-be parents, etc. and helping them feel great about themselves! Because I am a freelancer for now, the pressure is off of me to hustle and grind just for a job, so when I book clients, it feels like a right fit for both of us. Kate Norris Photography has really succeeded in 2024 and I place a lot of the credit to my clients.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve dabbled in a variety of different photo styles, but have really found my passion in branding. My goal in 2025 is to specialize almost exclusively in portraits, branding, headshots, and product photos to help other small businesses in our area enhance their marketing. I love partnering with others in the service industry and feel really fulfilled doing that. I wouldn’t say that I’m “known” for anything yet because I’m still relatively new to the Denver market, but I am really proud of where KNP has come in such a short amount of time.
