Today we’d like to introduce you to Ke’lee Davis.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in California. Music became my home at a very young age. From singing in my grandparent’s church choir to playing the drums and more. Music has always been in my family for generations.
My upbringing was brutal. Grandparents were pretty well off, but my mom wasn’t attentive to our needs and I never had my dad in my life. Saying that to say I struggled a lot in my adolescence years. Started stealing and doing anything needed to feed ourselves. (Me and my two brothers).
Grandparents end up taking us in and moving to Louisiana at the age of 11.
I wanted to get sent back to Cali in my 8th-grade year so they sent me back to live with my mom. That’s when things got bad. I was introduced to rapping, gangbanging, drugs, and a broad variety of crimes. My cousin and a few homies had a studio. We were freestyling one day and the homies told me I should start rapping so I did. Our house got raided by 12 and my mom was taken into custody shortly after that. Then, after a few months in school out there I got expelled for starting a riot. That’s a long story…….so for my own good, I was sent back to Louisiana.
When I got back, I started making music with my brothers and a few friends under the group name “LA2LA”.
We did good for a few years……. having a few shows and party invitations….. but nobody was putting in the effort like I needed so we all eventually went our own ways.
Fast forward a few years later and I’m the only one still successfully making music.
I moved to Denver, CO in 2021 in hopes of sparking. I’ve been staying consistent in dropping music when I feel like it.
My sound is unlike anyone I can think of. My versatility is astonishing. My passion will flow forever.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not really living life as a KID. Having to legitimately survive and thrive when all I wanted to do was play.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a true hustler. Working every day to broaden my entrepreneurial understanding. I have a few business plans that will change the world.
