Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendelle-Kimberly Blaisdell.
Hi Kendelle-Kimberly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a child times were tough. My mom couldn’t afford toys, and snacks that I’ve wanted. A store called Sanrio, I would always into the store and beg my mom for a plushie, but the only thing she could afford were puddy erasers or the number 2 pencils. As I got older, I was able to save up and started to live my childhood dream! I’ve bought and started collecting, and then my journey began as a Sanrio Kawaii Content Creator/ Influencer. My parents always told me plushies were for kids but they didn’t realize that the merch I’ve started purchasing is actually worth a lot! I even painted my car pink and that’s when a lot of people started to notice my content. I did however regret not continuing my pixel art drawings for Tokidoki! They’ve noticed my work and reposted. There’s just so many stories to tell but for now this is my journey! I currently work at an vet clinic, and have been working with animals for 10 years!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Unfortunately there are always struggles in life! But these are signs and tests from God! I do believe that these are challenges to see if we are able to overcome these obstacles. As of right now I am currently struggling to keep up with social media and content due to having to do a second surgery, but hoping to heal and have a speedy recovery!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently a receptionist at Animal House Veterinary Center, but also have 10 years of animal experience/ handling. I’m most proud of being able to learn about animal behavior, and skills or how to restraint, and knowing medical abbreviations. I am definitely a hard worker, and my passion towards animals mean everything to me. I always try to focus on communicating with clients with a smile and be sure they’re taken care of!
For my content creator job, I try to interact with my followers and post things that I truly love! Not do it for the trend!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
As of right now I’m taking a risk of doing a second surgery. My first surgery I was unfortunately out of work for 3 months, which didn’t stop me from learning at my current job! Definitely was a struggle!
