Today we’d like to introduce you to KT Rogers
Hi KT, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Since I was a little girl, I’ve been deeply intuitive and curious about the psychology of people and the world around me. Growing up in an unconventional and unstable environment shaped me profoundly. I learned early on to find love and connection in unexpected places—in small, overlooked moments and the kindness of others. This became the foundation of my optimism, which helped me move from a place of survival to thriving.
My fascination with human behavior and personal growth led me to pursue a degree in psychology and later a master’s in education. I became a teacher, driven by a desire to make an impact. However, as I delved deeper into self-development, I realized that the traditional education system was not aligned with my values or vision. To me, it felt like a system of oppression rather than empowerment, and I knew I couldn’t continue to operate within it.
This clarity inspired me to create *Raising Consciousness*, a podcast and platform where I could share my experiences and insights in a way that felt authentic and impactful. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something much bigger—a space where I could explore personal growth, self-awareness, and transformation while empowering others to reconnect with themselves.
Today, my work spans both my corporate career and personal coaching practice, where I focus on helping others unlock their potential. My approach is intuitive, personalized, and rooted in a trauma-informed perspective. I meet every client where they are, supporting their unique journeys with compassion, insight, and a deep respect for their individuality. Whether through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, or podcast episodes, my mission is to help people align with their truest selves and pursue their deepest desires.
I believe our desires are our highest calling, and I see it as my honor to support others in uncovering and moving toward them. Through Raising Consciousness and my work with clients, I’ve witnessed profound transformations, and I’m constantly inspired by the resilience and potential of those I work with.
As I continue this journey, I’m excited for the future. From new podcast episodes to programs designed to help people deepen their connection with themselves, there’s so much more to create and share. My story is still unfolding, but at its heart, it’s about resilience, connection, and the belief that we all have the power to transform our lives—no matter where we start.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth roads don’t build strong travelers, and my journey has been anything but predictable. It’s been filled with twists, turns, and moments of uncertainty that have shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
One of the biggest challenges was pivoting in my career. Walking away from teaching—a career I had invested years of my life into—felt like stepping off a cliff into the unknown. Teaching was stable and what I thought I “should” be doing, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t aligned with the life I wanted to create. That leap into uncertainty was terrifying, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I learned to lean into uncertainty and trust that something greater was guiding me. And time and time again, the universe showed up to support me. Doors opened, opportunities came my way, and I found myself on a path that felt more aligned and fulfilling than I ever could have imagined.
Another challenge has been breaking free from “good girl” programming and the cycle of people-pleasing. For years, I lived under the weight of trying to meet everyone else’s expectations, afraid to take up too much space or disappoint others. But that constant striving for external validation left me disconnected from my own needs and desires.
Finding my voice and stepping into my authenticity wasn’t an overnight process. It required peeling back layers of self-doubt and choosing to trust myself. As I leaned more into who I truly am, I realized something incredible: the more authentic I became, the better my life got. I began to attract the right opportunities, the right people, and the kind of joy and alignment I had been searching for all along.
These struggles weren’t just obstacles; they were invitations to grow. They taught me to embrace uncertainty, to trust that the universe always has my back, and to believe that being myself is my greatest strength. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been transformational—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work centers around helping people reconnect with themselves, uncover their desires, and step into their most authentic, aligned lives. Whether through my corporate consulting, personal coaching, or my podcast, Raising Consciousness, everything I do is grounded in the belief that every person deserves to thrive and that our desires are our highest calling.
What sets me apart is my intuitive, tailored approach. My work isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s not about quick fixes or surface-level strategies; it’s about creating lasting transformation. I meet people exactly where they are, whether they’re just beginning to explore self-awareness or are navigating complex transitions. My focus is always on the deeper work—uncovering blocks, rewiring patterns, and helping my clients align with who they truly are.
That said, I know my work isn’t for everyone. I don’t believe in sugarcoating or bypassing the hard stuff. Growth requires courage, self-reflection, and a willingness to dive deep, and the people I work with are ready to do just that. They’re committed to their journey, even when it’s uncomfortable, and that’s what makes the process so powerful.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the space I create for my clients to feel seen, heard, and fully supported. Whether it’s helping someone overcome self-doubt, break free from people-pleasing, or discover their unique path, being part of someone’s transformation is the greatest honor. And it’s not just about the milestones they achieve—it’s about the way they start to trust themselves, own their power, and live with greater authenticity.
Through my podcast, I also get to connect with a wider audience, sharing insights and conversations that spark self-reflection and growth. Ending each episode with, “I’m rooting for you,” is more than just a catchphrase—it’s a reflection of my deepest commitment to the people I work with.
What truly sets my work apart is that it’s deeply personal, both for me and for my clients. I believe in creating a space where real, meaningful change can happen. And while it’s not always an easy road, it’s one that leads to the kind of freedom and alignment that makes everything worth it.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice is simple but not always easy: put yourself out there. Finding a mentor or building a strong network starts with being willing to step outside your comfort zone and connect with people who inspire you. Look for those who have what you want—whether it’s a mindset, skill set, career path, or way of living—and make the effort to reach out. Ask to meet for a coffee chat.
It’s not about finding someone perfect; it’s about finding people who align with the values and growth you’re seeking. Start by showing genuine interest in their journey, asking thoughtful questions, and being open about your intentions to learn. Building authentic connections takes time, but when you approach it with sincerity and respect, it becomes less about “networking” and more about creating meaningful relationships.
Another piece of advice is to stay curious and be okay with rejection. Not every attempt to connect will lead to a mentorship or collaboration, and that’s okay. The key is to keep putting yourself in environments where the right connections can naturally unfold—whether that’s events, online communities, or mutual introductions.
Ultimately, the best way to attract mentors and build a network is to be authentic and committed to your growth. When you focus on showing up as your true self, people will notice—and the right connections will come into your life at the perfect time.
