Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Pollard.
Hi Kyle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey in the event industry actually started in the DJ booth. Back in 2013, while I was still in college, I began working as a wedding DJ and MC. That experience was my foundation and education. Over the years, I immersed myself in every facet of the wedding world, eventually expanding to offer photography, videography, planning, and even officiating. I wasn’t just a vendor; I was learning what makes an event run smooth and successfully.
By 2019, I noticed a consistent pain point for my clients was transportation. Couples were constantly struggling to coordinate reliable shuttles and party buses for their families and guests. I realized that to truly be a “one-stop shop” and provide a seamless experience, we needed to expand our offerings. That year, I bought our very first party bus.
Denver is an incredible hub for weddings and large scale events, and the demand for high quality transportation was even higher than I anticipated. We grew fast. Over the last six years, we’ve scaled from that single bus to a fleet of seven professional vehicles.
As we grew, we decided to pivot our focus. Today, we have moved away from the other wedding services to focus 100% on what we do best: providing the premier transportation service in Denver. Whether it’s a high-end wedding or a group needing reliable transport across the city, we bring over a decade of industry expertise to every single ride.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Building a transportation company involves a lot of moving parts. People see the finished product, a clean bus arriving on time, but they don’t always see the massive amount of time and resources it takes behind the scenes to keep us operating at a high level.
One of the biggest ongoing challenges is preventative maintenance. We don’t wait for things to break, we are constantly investing in the fleet to ensure every vehicle is in top shape. It’s a huge commitment of time and money, but it’s the only way to ensure reliability. Along with that, safety is our number one priority. Keeping up with regulations, inspections, and safety protocols is non-negotiable for us, even though it adds a layer of complexity to the daily operations.
Then there is the human element. Finding great drivers is hard, but finding “professional hosts” is even harder. We look for people who aren’t just skilled behind the wheel, but who also understand hospitality. Our drivers have to be able to manage a crowd and provide the high-end experience our clients expect. Finding and training the right team to represent the brand is a constant process.
Lastly, there’s the challenge of visibility. Denver is a busy market, so getting our name out there so the right people can find us takes a lot of work. It’s been a steep learning curve, but every struggle has just pushed us to sharpen our operations and provide a better service.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My daily focus is 100% on our clients. I spend the majority of my time communicating, planning, and consulting with them to make sure every detail of their transportation is covered. While we operate a fleet of vehicles, I’ve always believed that we actually specialize in customer service. To me, that is the most important factor in this business, and it’s what I personally oversee every day.
We have become known in Denver for our dedication to the customer experience. I am most proud of our reputation for accountability. In this industry, things can happen, but what sets us apart is how we handle it. If anything goes wrong or isn’t up to a client’s standards, we don’t just move on, we go above and beyond to fix the issue and make it right.
The client always comes first, and I’ve made that the core pillar of the business. Our reviews are a direct reflection of that commitment. We aren’t just providing a bus, we’re providing the peace of mind that we are going to do whatever it takes to make their event successful and stress-free.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My approach to networking is very intentional. I don’t just wait for mentors to show up; I go looking for them at industry conferences and spend a lot of time researching experts online and on YouTube. To me, mentorship isn’t about finding one person who knows everything, it’s about finding the right people for specific challenges.
Right now, I have a list of 4–5 people I’ve either met at conferences or found through their content online. I reach out to them when I have specific questions about my business. What has worked well for me is recognizing that everyone has a different specialty. One person might be an expert in fleet logistics, while another is a master of marketing or customer service.
My strategy is to learn the best of what each person has to teach in their specific area of expertise and then implement it into my own operations. For anyone looking for a mentor, my advice is to be proactive: find the people who are already where you want to be, ask them specific questions, and then actually do the work to apply what they tell you.
