Daily Inspiration: Meet Lexi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi.

Hi Lexi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Lexi from @exploringwithlexi, I am 24 and a travel/lifestyle content creator. I grew up in Florida but now live in Colorado. I started my blog last year in 2021 but had been thinking of the idea for a couple of years. In February 2021 I started an internship with a blogger named Findingfrancesca and she has mentored me for the last year. This has helped me grow and learn so much about being a blogger. To get to where I am today, I have just put in hours and hours of work. While I have grown a lot there is still a lot more work, I have to put in to get to my goal.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like anything in life. Things aren’t always easy and this is no exception. Some struggles that come with being a blogger is you open up your life to anyone and everyone which means you can get a lot of negative feedback. it can be overwhelming at times but I always try to just look at the positive side and how most people are enjoying the content. Other challenges I face are trying to stay on top of everything. I currently work a 9-5 full-time job and do blogging and social media on the side. There is so much work that goes into being a blogger that people don’t know. it isn’t just posting. I spend hours and hours researching places to show my audience and it can be difficult at times to balance all that with my everyday job.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I focus on foodie finds, travel spots, and lifestyle content. I specialize in providing travel guides. I currently offer travel guides in Colorado and I am planning to start highlighting additional cities soon!!! I am most proud of these guides because I put my heart and soul into every one. I spend hours researching activities, food places, etc. In order to make the best guides possible.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
The biggest risk I have ever taken is starting my blog and being a content creator whenever you take a risk you put yourself out there to be judged and this is not an exception. I am happy I took this risk and proud of all the work I have put into it to make this work. While I am not at my end goal yet I am happy where it’s going. I think it’s good to take risks as it teaches you a lot about yourself and helps you focus on what you really want out of things, I think everyone is a risktaker in their own way.
