Daily Inspiration: Meet Lisa Bartley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Bartley. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Starting her journey in the beauty industry in 2009 after her graduation from Penrose Academy, Lisa was given the opportunity to study, train, and work with some of the most talented artists. Her love for hair and makeup grew daily. In 2012, Lisa and her husband made the decision to relocate to the beautiful state of Colorado to raise their growing family. At this point Lisa decided to put her formal training to use, taking on weddings, styling, photo shoots, and commercial work. Her love for being behind the chair only continued to grow and evolve through this, quickly becoming a wonderful creative outlet.

Having the opportunity to be such an integral part of a production or wedding has always been meaningful to Lisa. Growing up dancing, she had always hoped that she would be fortunate enough to use the creativity she’d been blessed with professionally, and hair and makeup has been a wonderful integration of her passion and creativity in that sense. Lisa finds raw joy in the moments she is finalizing her clients, watching the excitement dance across their faces as they peek in a mirror to see the natural transformation they attained together.

When not working, Lisa is spending time with her husband and 3 children exploring and adventuring the beautiful world we live in from her home in Salida, Colorado.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything in life has its ups and downs but when you are passionate about something, it is all worth it. Any obstacle that has come my way has only helped me grow and learn as a business owner and artist.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a hair and makeup artist for weddings. I have grown and developed my business specializing in boho updos, braids, and natural, classic bridal makeup. I love creating the entire look for what the bride is wanting. Time and efficiency would set me apart from others. I work quickly and diligently so the day is the brides.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
There is always room for growth and development. When something is not what you want it to be, shift and make the change to accomplish something new.
