Daily Inspiration: Meet Mariah Fox

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariah Fox.

Hi Mariah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a self-taught photographer! I started this business when my oldest daughter was two years old so that was nine years ago! I watched all the YouTube videos and took a handful of online courses and mentorship’s I also kept shooting as often as I could which has shaped me into the photographer I am today!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning Learning the business side of things was my biggest obstacle and also juggling being a mama wife and a business owner sometimes has its challenges.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in family and children lifestyle portraits. This can be family shoots of any kind as well as kids portraits. Maternity, newborns, and senior portraits are also Commonly booked. I also shoot 3-5 weddings a year as well.

I am a very easy going photographer and make any situation work when out shooting! I love capturing those special moments and smiles between kids and their parents. My biggest goal is to have fun with all my clients as well as providing them with quality images to keep them coming back each year!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I took a risk when starting this business not knowing if I would succeed. I am very happy I took the risk this business is everything to me.

• Newborn sessions range $500-$1000
• Weddings range $2000-$4000
