Daily Inspiration: Meet Matt Miedich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Miedich.

Hi Matt, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Matt (I go by MDawwg). I’m a hip-hop artist/producer. I started in 2017 after learning I could use music as a positive outlet to express myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Music has been a healing and learning process; I’ve been writing, recording, promoting, and producing since 2017. As far as struggles go, it’s been hard to find an audience of listeners, as well as promoting/pushing myself out to new people and find myself as an artist/entertainer. I’ve learned that you must be prepared for anything that could happen and stay ready for whatever life will throw at you.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a hip-hop artist. I write, record, rap, sing, produce and also DJ. I would also say my specialty is singing, rapping, making beats and live performances. I’ve recently just come off The Idiots Across America Tour, going through New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas and Colorado, which I’m extremely proud to say I was a part of. I’d like to think what sets me apart from other hip-hop artists is that I use music to help myself keep on keeping on, have fun, and express myself in my own way.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Don’t overwork yourself. Make sure you’re taking your time with your art but in the same respect, make sure you’re not stressing yourself out. Have fun, if you’re not having fun DONT DO IT.
