Daily Inspiration: Meet Melina Sanchez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melina Sanchez.

Hi Melina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I´m a designer, I decided to be a freelancer with my brand named 1533 Studio when I quit my old job cause the payment was bad haha.

This brand is all about design, fashion, & marketing, my main goal is to transform it into a creative studio with more creative people like tattoo artists, graphic designers, fashion designers, etc. So we can build a community of just creativity with a minimal style, as always “less is more”.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think it is never a smooth road, we always find bumps on it, but that´s life.

My main struggle I think is always doubting myself and of course worrying about money, but as time has passed I´ve realized that clients come & go, & if I do a good job, they´ll keep coming, so just focus and hard work are the keys to success.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Right now, I am focusing on branding & marketing as it is what I went to college for, but I´m also working on a clothes collection, as fashion is one of my biggest passions.

I think my style is what sets me apart, cause style is uniqueness, and even though I love minimalism and sometimes it is paired with something boring or simple, it can be super magical if you know how to use it, “Simplicity is key”.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
To humble myself, cause at times I feel I can eat the world and have 100 projects done by myself but having and trusting your team is essential.
