Today we’d like to introduce you to Mory Rosas.
Hi Mory, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I arrived to Denver in the year of 1989, looking for the American Dream. I had many odd jobs, cleaning for the most part, until I decided to go to school to better my education.
I graduated as a legal assistant from Arapahoe Community Collage.
There I started to work in the legal field, eventually moved into Adams County social services and later on to Education at the Adams County School District.
After having so many different jobs, I started to think that becoming an entrepreneur was the fastest route to achieving my American Dream.
I started my Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay business in 1998 and become a National Sales Director, the highest position in our company in 2008.
I have earned the use of 14 career cars, 12 of the prestigious PINK CADILLAC and I currently drive a PINK ESCALADE.
I have earned over 3 million dollars in commissions. Last year we accomplished our best year ever with sales over 5 million in one year.
I feel blessed for all the accomplishments that we have been able to achieve and very thankful to Denver and the entire state of Colorado for providing me with this incredible opportunity to grow in so many ways. Specially my personal growth. I am an introverted person and it took a lot of courage to pursue my dreams, but I am so glad I did.
I want to thank you for this opportunity to share my story.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Being in sales is never an easy road. First, I had to understand that the biggest obstacle was myself. I had to get out of my comfort zone every single day. But in doing so, I inspire many others to do the same.
One of the highlights of my career was working through the difficult times of the housing crash in 2007-2008 when the economy was so bad and we still had to go through qualifications to achieve the National Sales position. But I said to me, there is nothing bigger on this earth than the human spirit on fire.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Like I mentioned before, I had many jobs before my independent business, and none of those jobs offered the possibility of an open ceiling to achieve my dreams like the beauty business did.
I remember hearing: “Find a niche and fill it” and basically that is what I did. I took advantage of the fact that the hispanic women loved beauty and I went and offered endless possibilities, not only for their personal beauty needs but also for the opportunity to change their life as an entrepreneur where you only depend on yourself and the tools that you’re willing to acquire to achieve your dreams.
How do you think about happiness?
It makes me happy that I was able to achieve my dreams of traveling the world. My passion was always to travel. I feel so happy and blessed that I hace visited more than 50 countries and close to 160 major cities around the globe.
It makes me happy that I was able to pay the education of my two kids and they’re debt free after graduation.
And not only that, my example has inspired my family to achieve their own dreams and I was able to support the dreams of countless women in my organization…
