Daily Inspiration: Meet Mudit Verma

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mudit Verma.

Hi Mudit, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a touring stand-up comedian and I’ve been on the road all throughout this summer. Rise Comedy Festival was the perfect welcome for me into Denver and I had an amazing experience performing for the community, meeting the team at Rise Comedy, and building friendships among fellow comedians.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Stand-up comedy is anything but smooth, but the thrill is what keeps me going. My main struggles are maintaining healthy habits while on the road like getting enough sleep and exercising regularly. But I find myself growing the more I get out there.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a stand-up comedian that also does virtual gigs for non-profits and corporate groups. I am known for having a quirky personality of a geeky scientist and I am able to entertain diverse audiences across all ages and backgrounds. I am most proud of having performed at major clubs in New York and Los Angeles. I am different from others in that I have a unique story as an only child of Indian descent born through In Vitro Fertilization.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One surprising thing many don’t know about me is that I have a pharmacy degree. I knew that traditional pharmacist jobs were not the right fit so I eventually pursued comedy.
