Daily Inspiration: Meet Nicole Labonte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Labonte.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my journey with art about 11 years ago. It began with painting with acrylics on canvas and had now morphed into drawing with pen and ink on paper or using my iPad and pencil.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but it’s been one of the lots of learning and experiences and shifting into new forms of artwork that are calling to me. Lots of twists and turns!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time artist and I sell my artwork via prints, apparel, vinyl stickers, and sometimes I’ll offer up custom-painted hats! My artwork is always inspired and focused on nature and how we are all connected.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
It seems as though life itself is risky! Nothing is a sure thing except change. I’m learning in my life and journey with art that taking risks and trying new things is critical to growth! I love pushing myself to get out of the box.
