Daily Inspiration: Meet Pink Gemini

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pink Gemini

Hi Pink, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is PinkGeminiHusky/ Gemini. I’m 23 years old, and I am apart of the furry community!

I really got started in 2020 wearing my skulldog mask, trick, while I worked at a haunted house. I filmed videos of me scarring people at the haunt and they went viral on TikTok.

For a while I was known online as “SpiralTrick” I actually had that user name as my first character at the haunted house. Trick had spiral eyes and her background was she tricked people into following her so her other haunt buddy’s could scare them.

As I fell in love with my skulldog the name Trick was moved from my clown character to my skulldog character. The furry community was head over heels for trick. But outside of haunt season I wanted to have a more welcoming, less frightening character. That’s when I created my fursona, Gemini.

Relating to Gemini more, as well as people loving her even more than they did Trick, I switched all my names over to PinkGeminiHusky and pushed her character forward on my social media.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being apart of the furry community has not been the easiest, a lot of people do not understand the community.

I do get a lot of hate comments online, as well as when I’m out public suiting. But I have learned to try and ignore the comments online. In person it can be harder but I remind myself the people making negative comments do not know me, and if anything are just insulting my suit.

The most common negative reaction I get is people barking at me, my favorite reaction back to them is asking them if they are a furry too? Always makes them go silent.

My recommendation is overall to not interact with anyone sending negativity your way. Have fun FURSUITING! If it’s in public please make sure to have someone the you for your own safety.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My goal online is to give everyone a safe space. My comment section is always open for anyone who needs to vent.

I try to keep my videos real, for example in one of my videos “paying people to bark at me” I was very nervous and even showed me having my own anxiety. I want people to know things like anxiety, social anxiety, and depression is REAL.

A lot of creators present themselves as these “perfect people” and I want my viewers to see I’m NOT perfect and I also struggle with my own issues.

I’d say I’m known for my most viral YouTube video “fursuiting at a trampoline park.” I honestly did not expect that video to blow up like it did. Currently at 181,000 views. That video inspired me to post every Saturday! It’s been a challenge but putting in the work I’ve found myself successfully reaching my goal.

I’m proud of myself for finally starting to grow a channel, a community. I have been in YouTube since 2010 making videos. I started with making animashes ( taking movies or tv shows and basically doing edits with them), then I moved to making videos at a humane society I volunteered at, trying to get as many dogs as I could adopted. Then in high school (2016) I started making more serious videos like, meeting my (at the time) online boyfriend, a documentary on The Stanley Hotel, TeenDrive Awareness videos, and suicide awareness videos. In 2018 I started making films where I was speaking about suicide awareness/prevention. 2019 I started making more comedic videos and full production short films. In 2021-2022 I started making music and music videos. Then in 2023-now I started making furry related videos, mainly videos of me public suiting and people reacting to me. It’s been years of work but I’m glad to see it paying off as I’d like to continue to grow my accounts and entertain people online, as well as make them feel apart of a community. My community 🙂

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think the most important quality/ characteristics online is keeping things real. Going back to what I was saying before which was, most creators make themselves look perfect. I’d like to show my true self to people, even the flaws.

There’s a few things I’ve learned, as humans we will make mistakes, but it’s not about how many mistakes we’ve made but how many times we’ve made the same mistake.

Failing is a real thing that everyone will experience, but it’s about the people that get back up and keep trying, no matter how many times they get knocked down.

I want my viewers to see me for the real me, I want them to be able to relate to me. Some things I struggle with is, depression, anxiety, a medical condition I’ve been diagnosed with called POTS Syndrome, dieting, motivation, time management, emotions, body shaming, self doubt, and more. It’s normal to feel these things, my best advice if you feel any of this is finding a healthy way to work through it.

Some ways I’ve found to work through everything on this list, positive messages to myself, exercise routines, good sleep schedules, daily routines, meditation, therapy, and journaling.
