Daily Inspiration: Meet Randall Holman

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randall Holman.

Hi Randall, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a young kid, I cherished the moments when I would ride as a passenger on my dad’s motorcycle, feeling the wind in my face and the joy of being on the open road. Those early experiences fostered a deep love for motorcycles that would accompany me through the different stages of my life.

From the moment my dad put me on a mini-bike at around the age of 8, I knew motorcycles would always be a part of my life. That day marked the beginning of a journey that has been filled with excitement, camaraderie, and a lifelong passion for being on two wheels.

During my teenage years, I ventured into dirt biking, spending countless hours exploring trails, and racing with my friends. The exhilaration of off-road riding became a defining part of my youth, shaping my character and creating deep connections with others that I rode with.

As I transitioned into adulthood, motorcycles became more than just a recreational activity. They became a part of my daily life. I started riding motorcycles to get around and commuting to college and work. Riding through the city and on the highway always gave me a feeling of freedom, which honestly made going to school and work way better. Plus, it was a great way to unwind afterwards.

Of course, things changed when I had kids. Family became the priority, and motorcycles took a backseat for a while. Even so, the passion remained, and I knew I would return to riding. It would just be a matter of time before I got back on two wheels.

When I got back into riding, I found myself really drawn to larger cruisers and touring bikes so I could go on longer road trips. Then, almost by accident, I discovered Indian Motorcycles. It was like a whole new world opened up. I became intrigued with the history, and heritage styling of these beautiful bikes, and became acquainted with an amazing group of people who were just as passionate about Indian Motorcycles and riding as I was.

Joining the Northern Colorado Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) at the Indian Motorcycle of Fort Collins dealership was a pivotal moment that further deepened my connection with the Indian Motorcycle community. I found a great group of people. We share the same passion, and the friendships and memories we’ve made are ones I’ll cherish forever.

My passion for the Indian Motorcycle brand and the Northern Colorado IMRG led to me to be the Marketing Director for the chapter, which was a real privilege. I was able to use my skills to promote what makes Indian Motorcycle and our riding group great. Then, I moved up, becoming Vice President and then President. It is an incredible experience to lead such a passionate group of riders, and I love being able to contribute to the future of the IMRG and that spirit of camaraderie.

Then, I was nominated and recruited for the IMRG Regional Council as an IMRG South Region Coordinator, which is another incredible opportunity. I’m able to use my experiences to help the National IMRG program and other chapters to grow, and to support the community that has become such a big part of my life. As an IMRG Regional Coordinator, I enjoy connecting with other local chapters, and communicating their feedback to Indian Motorcycle and sharing company information with the chapters, helping to ensure everyone’s perspectives are valued, and fostering a collaborative environment.

Looking back from that first mini-bike to assuming key leadership roles within the IMRG, I’m just incredibly grateful. Motorcycles have given me countless moments of joy, camaraderie, and pure excitement. It’s really shown me how powerful motorcycles can be with the unbreakable bonds of the riding community, and the limitless potential for adventures that awaits those who embrace two wheels.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it’s been a pretty smooth road. The motorcycle riding community is very supportive.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When I’m not riding, I’ve had a long and varied career in the technology and telecommunications sectors. I’ve spent many years as a Product Manager directly involved in the creation and management of carrier-grade voice and data services, from initial development to full lifecycle management.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Motorcycling demands consistent skill to stay safe out on the roads. Because these skills quickly diminish when not used, continuous practice is essential for rider safety. Motorcyclists should routinely refresh their training through reputable rider training classes.
