Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Sturtevant.
Hi Ryan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Started working on cars when I was a teenager purely out of necessity, My car broke and I could not afford to pay to have someone fix it. I worked at a few shops and soaked up as much knowledge as I could and with some good friends around helping me I jumped head first into my first performance based automotive shop. We did that for most of the 2010s then scaled down to were my job only included tuning cars mostly on a dynamometer. After some issues with our location I took a job running another shop and from there about 2 years ago I decided to reopen my place doing primarily repairs with a bit of performance stuff.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not been easy, long hours, stress and workload have been difficult but as with anything worth doing that will be the case.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Day to day I oversee the operations at my shop CRF Auto Specialists located in Greeley Colorado. We repair just about anything that fits in our shop. We pride ourselves in quality craftsmanship and hold ourselves to very high ethical standards, we prefer to educate our clients rather than give them a hard sell.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I listen and read things that help me stay motivated and driven to succeed as anything else is useless.
