Introducing The Stephen Lear Band, a dynamic and accomplished Rock and Soul ensemble hailing from Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2022, TSLB swiftly captured the hearts of music lovers throughout the region, amassing a devoted and diverse following.

Comprised of three to seven exceptionally skilled musicians, TSLB’s lineup adapts to the size and scope of each performance venue. From intimate stages to grand spectacles, they effortlessly command their audiences, delivering captivating sets lasting anywhere from one to five hours.

The essence of The Stephen Lear Band lies in our ability to seamlessly fuse original compositions with crowd-pleasing renditions of iconic classics by influential artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Etta James, Bill Withers, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Led by the extraordinary 22-year-old frontman, Stephen Lear, the band radiates vibrant energy, saturating the stage with blistering riffs, irresistible grooves, and an authentic vintage sound.

TSLB’s musicianship transcends boundaries, as their impeccable style intertwines elements of Blues, Rock, and Soul, creating an electrifying sonic experience that resonates deeply with audiences. With each performance, they forge an indelible connection, leaving listeners craving more.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the beginning, the most challenging aspect was finding our crowd and how we fit within the Denver music scene as a young Blues Rock band. We’ve built a name for ourselves over time and that challenge has passed.

At this point in the band’s career, I’d say the main challenge is finding a dedicated lineup of musicians to share the stage with. Playing with fill-ins can be fun, but for this project to succeed it needs dedicated members and musicians that have the same passion as myself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
The Stephen Lear band has a throwback sound, we primarily play music that originated in the 60s and 70s, as well as original music.

Our sound appeals to an older crowd for the most part, but I think that ’60s blues sound is coming back in a big way that young and old folks can enjoy. What sets us apart from other bands is the fact that we’re young and energetic and we appeal to a wide variety of people.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
One thing people might not know about me is that I haven’t been playing music very long, I got into music pretty late in my life, but with a little help from some good friends back in my hometown of Cincinnati Ohio, I was brought up into music and the music scene when I was a teenager and have been in love ever since.

I moved to Colorado and started playing guitar right before covid shut down the world, which I give credit to being a perfect storm for creating a rockstar. Many days were spent alone inside until one day I decided to put together a band of my own.
