Daily Inspiration: Meet Tara Weber

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Weber.

Hi Tara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began Weber Creative Media out of a desire to use my set of skills to create something that could help others. As a musician, I have always felt a connection to people, and the world at large, through song lyrics. Using words to tell a story or convey a message has always intrigued me, so applying my writing skills to help businesses tell their story felt natural and fulfilling. I started writing a few blogs and the clients were so happy with them and they got great results for SEO! From there I kept learning and improving until I was so busy that I needed to hire an additional writer. Now as a duo, we are able to help more businesses through quality content writing like blogs, website copy, social media, and email newsletters.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Roads are very rarely smooth and if they are, that makes the journey boring! Transitioning from being an employee to working for myself was challenging in many ways. Learning how to write contracts, how to manage client expectations, and figuring out what to charge for projects has all come with a learning curve, but through trial and error (and plenty of advice from other business owners) I have refined my processes and efficiency.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Weber Creative Media writes content for other businesses, particularly chiropractic offices! We also have several partnerships with marketing agencies, so we have written for a variety of businesses like law firms, construction companies, massage therapists, CBD companies, and moving companies to name a few.

I am proud of the fact that content that comes from Weber Creative Media performs well for SEO and our clients are always happy with what we create for them. By producing the highest quality content, we can on the first draft, it saves us and the client time by minimizing edits and maximizing the value of the content.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
For anyone who is just starting out, regardless of the niche you will exist within, don’t be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes! Google anything and everything! Do your best to be organized and create some workflow processes right from the start so that as you grow, it doesn’t feel overwhelming to manage your time and stay on top of deadlines. Work smarter, not harder. Keep an eye out for the “burn-out” feeling and allow yourself to take breaks. You can’t be creative every time you sit down at the desk to write, so give yourself some grace and don’t try to force creativity or productivity.
