Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Asche
Hi Amy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The Metal Maidens, the original Heavy Metal Girls Club, was born 25 years ago out of a personal longing for connection and acceptance. Growing up, I felt like an outsider, particularly in my love for heavy metal. There simply weren’t other girls who shared my passions, and being true to myself often felt like a disadvantage. The Metal Maidens became the haven I craved – a space where girls who don’t fit the mold, who embrace heavy metal and other unconventional interests, could come together, be themselves, and, most importantly, be celebrated for it. It’s a place where embracing your authentic self and supporting our local music scene earns you a crown, sash title, and some of the best friends you’ll ever have.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, I believe that the struggles encountered have ultimately been worthwhile. As the saying goes, “Nothing worth having comes easy,” and that sentiment has certainly resonated throughout this experience.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Metal Maidens inc?

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5-10 years, our group will likely see significant expansion and increased membership numbers as we continue to grow our national presence. This year, we’re embarking on another nationwide tour, actively engaging with potential candidates and connecting with existing applicants across various states. Our focus remains on continuous improvement, pushing boundaries, and achieving new standards of excellence. A key trend we anticipate is the growing importance of community engagement, which we’re excited to foster through new initiatives like our recently formed Burlesque team, promising a unique and entertaining dimension to our outreach.
