Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Sosa.
Hi Anthony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Texas, while studying astrophysics and the neuroscience of meditation at university of Texas Tech, Anthony experienced one his greatest loss – the sudden death of his mother.
This sudden loss when I was 19 years of age is what drew me to the path of healing during his 1st year at university. This direct encounter with the tremendous pain and suffering in life was the pivotal shattering point for transforming his life.
After the traumatic sudden death of my mother when I was 19, I was shattered, numb, lost, and heart gapingly broken. I was also devastatingly free to become my authentic self. It took me many years to validate that I needed healing because I couldn’t feel safe to create any meaningful relationships or even trust the universe.
I sought to know how all life is connected and begin to change my life by dedicating myself to learning and the acquisition of knowledge. I responded by traveling the world, dedicated myself to finishing my college degree for my mother by devoting my life to studying science, specifically the science physics as my childlike curiosity aligned with the affinity to understand our relationship to the stars and the cosmos.
I traveled the world to live Australia during my study abroad that culturally shifted who I was and had an epiphany around changing my study from engineering to physics. So I began studying astrophysics because it connected more deeply with my innocent curiosity to learn my place in the universe and to make sense of the uncertainty of life. After several years, I became severely dissatisfied with limitations and imbalances from a way of living that was extremely intellectual through western academia and I started seeking complimentary forms of holistic living to counteract the deep loneliness and disconnection he felt from himself and others.
My seeking took me taking trips into the wilderness where I backpacked with my godfather in Yosemite National park. I then started my formal healing journey by going counseling to learn to feel emotions, I stretched myself to learn psychology, mythology, philosophy, neuroscience, and religions around the world even connecting more authentically to Christianity through the lens of universal love and service.
I graduated in 2017 with a physics degree in a concentration in astrophysics and minors in mathematics and psychology while completing my yoga teacher training certification and participating in research of the neuroscience of mindfulness meditation.
My insatiable curiosity to learn drove me to experiential healing in the from meditation & mindfulness from eastern philosophy where began my life practice of Yoga with the support of incredible teachers. I dedicated over 5 years of my life to embody the path of Yoga as a student, practitioner and teacher. This is where I was also traveling internationally and starting seeking mystical experiences through plant medicine which utterly transformed and re-wired who I was. As I was teaching yoga for to embody a holistic life, started veganism for the next 7 years, I continued to traveled the world teaching yoga and have psychedelic healing experiences that changed the foundations of self to love as I continued to study and learn to be embodied.
In 2019, I decided to I then moved to the beautiful state of Colorado to feel closer to the nature and to complete my masters degree from Naropa in Transpersonal Counseling, My first year a teacher from Naropa enthusiastically encouraged me to look into the work of Lisa Wimberger, the founder and creator of Neurosculpting. I followed this path by taking the Neurosculpting courses and during my time at Naropa while completing my master’s during the midst of pandemic I became certified as a Neurosculpting facilitator.
Naropa provided an environment for me to apply my embodied work into the relational and emotional realm to work towards my aspiration of being more whole and balanced so I could learn to express my mind through my heart. I had no intention of. becoming a counselor or psychotherapist when I chose Naropa’s master’s program, in a way it chose me. Neurosculpting integrated my love of science with meditation as a foundation for nervous system healing and creativity. Later, the Neurosculpting Institute would be the place I would complete my clinical internship and began my private practice business.
When I graduated in 2022, I also completed my certification as a SOMA Breathwork teacher and instantly began my private practice, Insource, a few days after graduating. I then went on to become a Gene Keys Guide and started offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) where I am the only person in the world licensed to offer Neurosculpting with ketamine-assisted psychotherapeutic experiences.
Now, in 2026, I have dedicated my life’s work through my role as a psychotherapist and Neurosculpting facilitator at the NSI while running my own business in mental health, fitness, and transformative healing. In addition, I also teach classes for breathwork and yoga classes at different dance and wellness retreats.
In my business, I am a creator Neurosculpting Gene Key meditations, a modern synthesis for epigenetic neuroplastic transformation. I am also a mentor of Neurosculpting facilitators for the Neurosculpting Institute (NSI) for existing and new facilitators.
I see all my relationships as a spiritual practice of deep healing and awakening through intimacy. This field of relational healing is where I am graciously able to serve by creatively integrating applied embodied wisdom of practical and spiritual tools of awareness directly through all the relationships of my life.
In my free time, my hobbies include exploring my physical body’s potential through many forms of strength training, calisthenics and handstands. My biggest passion has becoming a dancer through learning Brazilian Zouk, a partner dance where I’ve learned and grown tremendously.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My path through my master’s degree was during the covid-19 pandemic, which challenged my resolve and commitment to complete my degree in mental health counseling when the world felt so ill and unsafe.
I did not choose to be a therapist/counselor; “it” chose me. I went to school to become a more whole person from being unable to feel adequate in my intimate relationships. I have found that my therapy practice is a place where I am naturally gifted and able to be highly creative in the art of therapeutic presence and healing in incredibly meaningful ways that allow me to feel fulfilled. I am blessed in this way,
We’ve been impressed with Insource , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Insource is about connecting from the source within for your deepest wisdom and access to healing and manifestation. I specialize in psychological health and brain rewiring through the power of neuroplasticity. What sets me apart is my unique combination of integrating transpersonal contemplative wisdom with neuroscience and embodied application through somatic practices for everyday life. I am proud that my business is founded on my essentials for being of service for wholeness through integrity and wisdom.
I am one of, if not the only, humans in the world who can offer you a transformative, life-changing growth and healing experience through modern embodied psychotherapy including insurance supporting ketamine-assisted therapy with Neurosculpting modality with the deep universal wisdom of the Gene Keys.
