Today we’d like to introduce you to Baruch “B” HaLevi.
Hi Baruch “B”, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story is really about meaning.
I began in Jewish leadership as a congregational rabbi, but along the way I found myself asking deeper questions about purpose and identity. Losing my father to suicide changed everything for me. It stripped away easy answers and sent me searching for what truly gives life meaning, which led me to Viktor Frankl’s work and logotherapy.
Over time, my work expanded beyond the synagogue into coaching, teaching, and podcasting. Today, I co-founded Soul Centered, founded MPG Men’s Peer Groups, and host 13 Minutes, creating spaces where people, especially men, can be honest, do the inner work, and live with greater clarity and integrity.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My path has not been smooth. One of the deepest challenges in my life was losing my father to suicide, a loss that shattered many of my assumptions about faith, life, and purpose. I’ve also faced my own dark moments, times when external success as a rabbi and leader couldn’t shield me from emptiness or despair. Transitioning from traditional roles in the synagogue to coaching, teaching, and founding MPG Men’s Peer Groups required me to confront cultural expectations, vulnerability, and what it truly means to help others. Much of my work grew out of wrestling with these struggles, learning to turn grief, loss, and personal crises into meaning, and creating spaces where men and others can confront their own challenges honestly and courageously.
As you know, we’re big fans of I have Soul Centered, B HaLevi, Men’s Peer Groups. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I run Soul Centered with my wife, Ariela HaLevi, along with my personal brand B HaLevi, and I founded Men’s Peer Groups (MPG). All of these are connected by one central mission: helping people, especially men, find meaning, clarity, and authenticity in their lives.
At Soul Centered, we focus on coaching, spiritual guidance, and transformational work. It’s a space where people can explore purpose, navigate life transitions, process loss, and reconnect with what truly matters. With MPG, or Men’s Peer Groups, I created a community where men can be fully honest, share struggles without judgment, and do the hard inner work that most of us are taught to avoid.
What sets us apart is the combination of spiritual insight, psychological tools, and lived experience. We draw on Jewish wisdom, Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy, and modern psychology to create practical and deeply human guidance. I’m proudest of the impact we’ve had helping men stop performing, confront loneliness, and live with integrity.
At the heart of it, our work is about creating spaces where people can pause, reflect, and act with purpose, whether that’s through coaching, peer groups, workshops, or podcasting. I want readers to know that we don’t just talk about change, we help people live it, honestly and fully.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is meaning, living a life that is authentic, purposeful, and aligned with who I truly am. Everything else flows from that: how we connect with others, how we navigate challenges, and how we show up in the world. That search for meaning is at the heart of everything I do, personally and professionally.
