Exploring Life & Business with Beth Bedingfield of Transform Colorado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Bedingfield.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Fitness has always been woven into who I am. I grew up an athlete—first as a state champion swimmer in high school, and later as a Track and Cross Country scholarship athlete at Pepperdine University. Health, wellness, and movement have always been constants in my life.
After college, I struggled to find a career path that truly inspired me. I’ve always had a strong work ethic and the determination to achieve whatever I set my mind to, but at that point, I didn’t yet know what direction I wanted to pursue. Because fitness felt natural, I defaulted to personal training in Los Angeles while I figured things out.
That experience opened doors I never expected. I had the opportunity to work under some of the top celebrity trainers in LA, training well-known clients like Kate Hudson and Jessica Biel. While I learned an incredible amount, the 1:1 training world never fully fulfilled me—I craved energy, community, and an atmosphere that felt alive.
I found that energy in group fitness. I began teaching spin right as it was becoming one of the hottest workouts in LA. I taught at LA Fitness and Equinox, and eventually trained and taught for SoulCycle. Around that time, I stumbled across a Pilates studio offering a free first class. I went the next day, fell completely in love with the method, and was certified two months later. From there, I built my career in the birthplace of the method, working my way up to become one of the top master instructors in the world. I had the privilege of certifying other studios and working with countless high-profile clients. I had climbed as high as I could in my industry—but I wanted even more room to grow.
In 2015, I moved home to Colorado, where I was born. I had dreamed of opening my own studio for years and had explored opportunities in several states. Every time I returned to Colorado, I noticed gaps in the market compared to LA—and I saw tremendous opportunity in Denver. That spark became the beginning of Transform.
After researching neighborhoods, I landed on LoDo, found an incredible space, and went all in on my vision. One of the biggest insights I brought from LA was seeing the early testing of a new platform called ClassPass. I realized there was a growing desire for variety—clients wanted a mix of strength, cardio, and yoga. Pilates was my foundation, but with my extensive background in cardio, I knew I wanted to build something more.
At the time, nothing existed that combined both. So I decided to create the first Pilates/Cardio fusion studio in the country. And because I didn’t want to compete directly with studios like SoulCycle, I brought in a VersaClimber program to pair with Pilates. This allowed us to run two unique modalities simultaneously, while letting me draw from every part of my background to build something truly new.
That’s how the first Pilates + VersaClimber studio in the world was born.
Today, there are now more than 30 studios across the country that have modeled themselves after the concept I created.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not. No highly motivated, driven individual has a smooth road. There have been plenty of bumps and many lessons along the way. But I’ve always viewed each of them as growth opportunities rather than setbacks. I don’t look at struggles as roadblocks to my goals; I see them as chances to learn, adjust, and evolve.
My philosophy has always been: learn the lesson, don’t repeat the mistake, and stay ready for whatever comes next. There will always be new challenges, but each one teaches you something valuable. The key is keeping your eyes on the end goal. When you stay connected to why you started and where you’re going, the struggles become part of the journey — not something that can make or break it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m a forever student. I try to fill as much of my free time with learning and anything that is going to help my own personal and professional growth. I try to read 15-20 books a year, typically autobiographies of people who inspire me, business books, or personal development books. This year a few of my favorites have been Traction, Good to Great, Building a story Brand, Built to Last, What they don’t teach you at Harvard Business school, Ego is Enemy and Hug Your People. All fantastic books. I listen to Podcast when I drive and I enjoy entrepreneurial podcasts such as Alex Hormozi and Andy Frisella.
