Exploring Life & Business with Beth Mongold of Erotic Senses

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Mongold

Hi Beth, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Some people focus on one passion for their whole lives. Not me.

My path hasn’t been straightforward—I’ve blended different fields that might seem unrelated at first glance. But there’s a common theme: my obsession with relationships, desire, creativity, and spirituality.

I’ve been many things—an aspiring opera singer, a yoga and meditation teacher, an energy healer, and a marketing executive. Each role taught me about human connection and what it takes to keep growing.

After my divorce in 2020, I started a journey to understand love and intimacy in a deeper, more authentic way. Despite having practiced energy healing, meditation, tantra, and yoga for years, I realized I had never truly explored my sexuality or what makes relationships work.

All I knew was that I longed for more excitement, depth, and freedom – and that I often seemed to get in my own way. By training with several transformative programs, I began to unravel my turn-ons, challenges, and hidden desires, embracing the full spectrum of my erotic self.

Exploring my sexuality has been the most vulnerable and rewarding doorway for personal growth and expression. It’s asked me to confront my deepest passions and fears, leading me into intense pleasure and a richer relationship with others and with life. It can be scary and hard to talk about because even today, there’s a huge stigma around this most basic part of being human. We rarely get a solid education or knowledge about who we are as erotic beings.

Today, I guide individuals and couples on a similar journey of self-discovery. I help people explore their emotions, fantasies, desires, fetishes, and beliefs through coaching conversations and experiential play. It’s deeply fulfilling to be part of the process of freeing suppressed parts of their erotic identity and discovering new, empowering possibilities.

Some of my specialties include navigating erotic power dynamics, surrender, and shadow work. I love exploring kink, especially as a shibari rope bottom.

For me, eroticism is more than just sex—it’s a creative force that strengthens connection and brings vitality to all aspects of life. It’s play! I want to be as embodied, alive, and passionate as I can be – and in amazing relationships that allow me to be fully myself.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, and it’s not a smooth road now! But I wouldn’t change a thing.

When you’re committed to growing and becoming whole, creating intimate relationships, and building a business, it isn’t going to go smoothly.

A lot of my challenges have been internal. I’ve had to slowly process shame about who I am and my desires. I’ve struggled with a sense of unworthiness. And it can be very, very scary to put yourself out there as a sex coach.

Sometimes, it’s like swimming upstream. Because there’s still such a puritanical cultural bent around sexuality, people won’t seek out help even when they want and need it. And those of us trying to get the word out get banned online or on social media.

More than anything, I would like our culture to shift in such a way that we can have open, adult conversations around sexuality – so that we can learn and experience more pleasure and connection! I’m committed to the long and bumpy road of confronting the cultural, familial, and religious conditioning that tells us we can’t have it.

We’ve been impressed with Erotic Senses, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Erotic Senses is my coaching business. I work with individuals and couples to create stronger, sexier, more passionate relationships.

I began my practice primarily as a men’s coach, helping them gain confidence, emotional fluency, communication skills, and erotic intelligence. My clients range from singles trying to date well, to those in long-term relationships who want a more exciting sex life. I also work with men who are trying to figure out who they are post-divorce – it’s such a tough but healing time.

I’ve recently opened my practice to women, specializing in those dealing with the impacts of perimenopause. Desire changes so much in this chapter of life, and I’m learning so much as I go through it myself.

I also LOVE working with couples. It can be so frustrating when you love each other and the emotional connection is strong, but the sex isn’t inspiring.

One of the things my clients often say is that they feel very safe with me to explore such vulnerable places. I use play and embodied exercises to help people get out of their heads.

I’m starting to lead more in-person events, especially for women. But the most effective way to interact with me is through 1:1 coaching.

What matters most to you?
That people feel free to be who they are, in connection with others. There’s so much isolation these days – people are lonely, addicted to their screens, and confused about how to have deep relationships. I believe intimacy and connection are antidotes to the pain that’s so prevalent in our culture.
