Today we’d like to introduce you to Brett Reasoner
Hi Brett, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have spent most of my career in the consulting and corporate world, before transitioning to luxury real estate. In the business world, I am a talent acquisition executive focused on growth initiatives and plans, as well as relocating executives to and from Denver. I was just recently nominated and selected as a Global Top 100 Talent Acquisition Professional and will receive my award at the conference in April. On a personal note, I relocated to Denver from Ohio in August of 2021. It has been a challenging yet amazing experience. Relocating during covid was extremely challenging, not only to find a home to live in due to the crazy real estate market, but also to make new friends and build relationships. It was challenging. I got divorced in February of 2022, laid off from my job in May of 2022, and forced to sell me new home shortly after that. I started to build my life back up for the next year, only to be diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer in May 2023 and be laid off from job in between my cancer surgeries in august of 2023. I was officially declared cancer free in October of 2023 and have a full life expectancy. During these challenging times, I reevaluated my life and what was important to me. I decided to take my real estate classes during my recovery and became a licensed agent in October of 2023. I have been involved in executive relocation and some form of real estate for close to a decade, and this made it official I was going to pursue what I loved full time. I decided during all of this I needed to give back more to the community. I wanted to find something personal. My mother was adopted and my grandma who was one of the most influential people in my life was always giving back. I wanted to give back to adoption so in 2022 I joined the board of directors for the gift of adoption fund – Colorado chapter. We raise funds to cover or offset the cost of adoption for at risk youths. It is a national foundation, but I support the local Colorado chapter on their board.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

My clients often become my friends, as I value building lasting relationships based on trust, care, and shared successes.
Outside of real estate, I spend my time with my teenage daughter and our dog, Lucy, who keep life exciting. I also invest in real estate, continually expanding my portfolio to build wealth for my family. In my downtime, I love traveling the world, playing golf, cooking for loved ones, and savoring a good bourbon and cigar with friends.
Every client and home are different, and that’s what makes this work so exciting. I’m here to make what can feel like an overwhelming process stress-free, fun, and rewarding. Whether you’re buying your dream home or selling your current one, I’ll work tirelessly to deliver results that exceed your expectations. We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think risk taking is what sets apart the high achievers and ultra successful people and those who are content with their current situation in life. I think everyone has their own path and it’s important to respect those individuals who are afraid to take risks or are really happy with their current situation in life. I think in order to level up your life, you must take necessary steps, some of those are going to be scary, and you will probably fail more often that you succeed. That’s where the learning comes in. My mindset has always been to continue to push boundaries and take chances. I moved across the country where I didn’t know a single person, during an unprecedented pandemic, and chose to pursue my lifelong passion. None of which were guaranteed to have success and to be honest, I failed a few times to get to where I am. Since I chose to take those risks, life has dramatically improved (after the failures and challenges). My daughter has stepped outside her comfort zone and grown tremendously by being forced to adapt and grow, I have more than quadrupled my yearly income since moving here, and I have evolved my faith in God and grown to serve under him and be grateful for the opportunities brought my way. In a book I am currently reading called Chase the Lion, By Mark Batterson, he has a saying that I think is 100% true. “You are one idea, one risk, one decision away from a totally different life. Of course, it’ll probably be the toughest decision you ever make, the scariest risk you ever take. But if your dream doesn’t scare you, it’s too small.” People who are extremely successful push through risk and everyone thinks well they must not be afraid to fail. I agree with that to an extent. I think everyone is afraid and is a little nervous about the result when you’re talking about a potentially life changing risk. In my opinion, it isn’t the absence of fear that makes you successful, it’s feeling the fear, embracing the fear, and then saddling up anyways.
One of my favorite quote’s that I constantly think about, and I don’t know who said it originally is – “accept the pain, smile at the pain, embrace the pain. Pain is the gatekeeper of destiny. Pain is there to ask you one simple question; do you really want to achieve your goals? Or are you just a talker. ” I love this quote because when you take risks to achieve your goals, it will be hard. But how bad do you want it? What are you willing to go through to grow? This answer is different for everybody but for me, I will go through it all to succeed.
