Today we’d like to introduce you to Cara Correnti. 

Hi Cara, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I actually used to be a model. I lived in Las Vegas and Miami, and I had an amazing time doing this. I decided to move home a few years ago and I had my son who is turning 3 in April. I wanted to be able to work from home so I started my own business. It’s the best thing I ever did, and I enjoy every minute of it. I’m currently in direct sales for several different companies. I sell clean skincare, makeup, lashes, CBD products, nutrition and wellness products, weight loss products, cruelty-free perfume, artisan soaps, candles, clothing, fitness apparel, and more. I’m also going to start selling my homemade breast milk soap! I love being able to work from my phone, make my own hours, and still get to spend most of my time with my son. I would highly recommend this business to stay-at-home moms. It’s very fulfilling, and I can honestly say it’s so much fun! 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s a lot of work branding yourself on social media and creating relationships with your friends and followers. Social media is a key part of having this kind of home business. You have to be dedicated to basically figuring out how to become a social media influencer, and it’s not an easy road at all. I have worked hard to get this business started, and I had to invest a lot of time and money. Learning how to create a balance between spending time on work or spending time with my son was also a major challenge. I can honestly say, you have to be dedicated to making a home business work. If you don’t do the daily work, you won’t be successful. For any other stay-at-home moms who have started a business, my advice is to not give up when things get tough. Even if it seems like it might be a waste of time, it’s not! Keep going no matter how discouraged you may feel, you can do this! You can make it work!

There are many stay-at-home moms who are in direct sales, but what sets me apart is the huge variety of products that I sell. I have something for everyone. I even sell adult novelty items. I wanted to offer products that could help someone to better their relationships or even ease their anxiety levels if you know what I mean! That is one other thing that sets me apart, I only sell products that I believe in. I only sell products that I know can help someone to improve their life. I love helping people, and this is a great way to do it. 

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is following your passion, not your paycheck.
