Exploring Life and Business with Chanel Lilley of Simply All-Natural

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanel Lilley.

Hi Chanel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I come from a family of small business entrepreneurs. I grew up watching my dad and older sister pursue all kinds of different businesses when I was a kid. Everything from a bakery to a dress shop and even a family farm.

My passion and desire for holistic remedies, naturally made products and a chemical-free lifestyle pushed me in that direction. I have been making all-natural products for over ten years and after moving to Colorado in 2020, I began sharing my creations with the community and Simply All-Natural was born.

I posted one product that I made on a local Facebook sales page and the very first customer who purchased from me loved what I made so much that she asked for more. I was and am beyond grateful for this sweet lady because this set the tone of encouragement that I needed. My product line grew from one to currently 50+ different items.

Simply All-Natural wouldn’t continue to be possible without the loving support of this amazing community.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, once I got out of my own way, it’s been pretty smooth sailing—any struggles along my path have been when creating products that work. I love experimenting with new recipes and with that comes trial and error. I overcome these challenges by do-overs and lessons learned.

We’ve been impressed with Simply All-Natural, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Simply All-Natural Bath and Body Products are made without unnecessary ingredients, harmful chemicals, toxins, parabens, artificial fragrances, or perfumes.

I do not use preservatives, so my products have six month to a year shelf life. Only pure essential oils for therapeutic benefits and aroma to provide scent in my products are used. I do not always have everything in stock and ready to go because I make small batches with love. I try to accommodate special requests if I can.

I make a wide variety of different products at a relatively low cost. I use simple but good ingredients in everything I hand-make from scratch.

One thing I am most proud of is not ever breaking or even bending my integrity when it comes to the quality of my products.

Personally, I am known for helping, uplifting, and encouraging other small businesses in the community. That’s another passion of mine.

How do you define success?
I feel super successful when anyone likes one of my products, anytime someone says my product helped them, and each time I gain a happy customer.

I have a passion for holistic medicine and a chemical-free lifestyle. I love sharing that with others.

I studied Alternative Medicine and Holistic Health; as well as a Certified Life Coach from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts.
