Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Leffel.

Hi Crystal, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Photography was always a hobby of mine, I always had a camera about anywhere I went and took some photography classes in high school. I never quite thought of it as a career until I was in my late 20s. Growing up, the other photographers I knew of worked at Glamor Shots- lol. After I got married I picked up a professional camera & it quickly became a business. I kind of hit the ground running, I shot and practiced on anything that would let me, took classes, invested in photography education and continue to strive to be the best photographer I can to give my clients the best experience and photography possible. It’s been such a fun journey!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My business have been pretty smooth for the most part, I have enjoyed the road and experiences along the way. Running a business always comes with challenges but I’ve enjoyed the clients I get to serve & learning and growing. However, the year of 2020 came with many challenges, trying to navigate a pandemic while working in the event industry and my calendar crumbling was a challenge, but events came back in 2021 along with all the work that had to be rescheduled.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I offer wedding & motherhood photography within the state of Colorado. I have built a business around the most exciting seasons of life. My weddings take me from Denver to Vail and Aspen, capturing love stories in our beautiful rockies whilst my motherhood brand is primarily based in the Denver area, many of my portrait clients love the mountains as well. I have a timeless, yet authentic style to perfectly cherish life’s best moments. From your wedding day to the delivery of your first child. Running a business that is built around the celebration in the family is truly such a gift. I pride myself in having an incredible client experience. This is something that is always on the top of my list when working with clients. I want them to feel seen, heard & the moments to be captured the way they are felt.

How do you think about luck?
I feel very lucky to do what I do! I live in one of my most beautiful states and get to create art in such a gorgeous setting, so much so we have become a destination market. I also feel very lucky to work with great clients! I get asked pretty often if I have ever had any bridezillas, and the answer I always have is I haven’t met one yet! All my brides are great and so much fun to work with!
