Today we’d like to introduce you to Dani Diercks Farrell.
Hi Dani, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am so fortunate to live out a passion to help system involved youth in our community. My path through law school + masters in social work was to do the exact work that I am navigating everyday. No two kids are the same and no two days are the same. Being a voice for children has taken a ton of personal advocate, navigating complicated systems and every changing laws, and constantly finding the glitter in the gross.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Loving my work and my team has been a smooth road and likely why I have been in this work for nearly 20 years in some capacity. The struggles come with the politics, lack of resources, burnt out personalities and non-collaborative professionals.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Diercks Law is a platform for youth who are stuck in the system for a variety of reasons. We love our work and every single client. We fight like hell to make sure that their voice is heard and their life is valued like any other youth in our community. We specialize in juvenile law, all case types: dependency & neglect, delinquency, truancy, adoption, etc. What sets us apart from others is the consistent strong advocacy with a value of collaboration, ongoing training and meeting the kid where they are at. I am proud that I have been able to see some of the seeds we planted years ago, grow into success, graduations, accomplishments, breaking unhealthy generational cycles, safety, resourcefulness and a real future. I want the readers to know that youth in the system are not talked about enough, that every youth, whether their parents/kin are raising them or foster parents or a facility deserve a childhood full of happy safe seeds and beautiful growth.
